Ms Tandy is so friendly and nice. You stand in a cafeteria style line to pick your food. But afterwards, she walks around greeting everyone and making sure they feel welcome.I had a one and one (fried and smothered) pork chop, with a side of butter beans and macaroni and cheese. It also comes with yellow rice, which went well with the beans. I do wish the gravy had a little more flavor but all in all, it was pretty good. The cornbread was amazing. I needed another piece.

Food was great. If you want southern food this place is where to go. Service was quick fast and HOT. Great for parties of 4+ just know seats are limited. The restaurant looks clean and decent and homie.

Excellent soul food and I love the many items on the menu but I think the neighborhood is sketchy and I legally carry but if there is a chance I think I might need it I rather avoid the store !!!

Their prices are too high for a little bit of food and their prices need to come down and do military discounts

I have always loved a good soul food spot so when somebody recommended Potters House "Soul Food Bistro" I didn't think twice. Upon our arrival we were politely greeted at the door and shown where to go place our order and where we could sit. The restaurant wasn't busy and was very clean and welcoming. The servers were very kind and patient considering it was both mine and my wife's first time. My wife ordered 2 pieces of chicken (10/10), greens (10/10), mac & cheese (10/10) all seasoned to perfection and not too salty and the peach cobbler (11/10) was warm, savory and full of flavor without being too sweet. I ordered the 8 pcs wingetts (10/10), candied yams (10/10), mac & cheese (10/10) all seasoned to perfection without being too salty. The meal was very filling and not over priced. I will DEFINITELY be going back.

They offer counter-lunchroom style service: wait in line, order what you'll have and they plate it before your eyes and pay at checkout. Today, our office opted for their delicious ox tails. Served over rice with two sides. When you order to go, don't forget to ask for your gravy because it's delicious! While their prices are a little high, you get what you pay for: QUALITY, FLAVOR and CONSISTENCY.

This restaurant was highly recommended for soul food in Jacksonville. The food was Amazing!! The peach tea was to die for!

This is the most unprofessional food servicing industry ever! To be "church folks", I see why ppl label Christian's as hypocrites. The staff is nasty, bad attitudes, and unsanitary. They do not change their gloves in between order. I mean a person can be allergic to what the last person got. VERY HIGH RISK! They scratch their heads and pick up their phone in the middle of making your food. They rush to make your food, you can't even tell them what you want. They want to throw whatever they want on your plate and act as if you're suppose to take it. And when you tell them that's not what you want they catch an attitude. They give out small portions of food and when you ask them for a little bit more they tell you to "stop begging" as if you're not paying for your food. I mean, how unprofessional! I'll never eat or bring my family to this disgusting place. If the food spots are like this I can't imagine the church!

I love this place! Good food and service. It's a favorite among my team at work when we're looking to cater.
