I was very impressed with how this little theater presented Disenchanted. The setup was minimal but perfect and the sound was crisp and clear. The ladies in the play, the Princesses, were amazing and so very talented! Hearing their beautiful voices echo in the room was a treat to the ears. The characters were hilarious as well. I totally got lost in their story. If you haven't seen it, go get tickets before they sell out. It runs until 1/28. I plan to return to support and watch other productions. We had such a good time.

Saw the Kinky Boots production and really enjoyed it! Cool small theater with all volunteer performers and crew. The local artwork in the lobby was a cool addition too. I was impressed! Would definitely go back for another production!

Was most impressed with players by the sea's production of little shop of horrors. The singing was excellent the orchestra behind this set was phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about the esamble and the acting. They did a fantastic job with this production.

A no frills little theater off Beach, with a little portable bar with a few selections, and a theater that holds about 150 people. Parking on a grassy lot across the street. Casual venue with a mostly older crowd.

Anthony Mincey,a Jacksonville native and FAMU graduate has appeared in many Productions. In each production he works himself into a more focused role. Tonight he is the main character Joseph! 2 reasons to visit this play, first to see Anthony with his rock hard body in a loincloth, and secondly just to see how well the production by Mr. Kris Jackson goes. The audience was full of energy with a lot of it inspired by samples of apple cider with whiskey Yum!I enjoyed the audience interactions with The Players by the Sea staff. They walked up and down the asles engaging in small talk which really warmed up the audience. The voices of all of the characters were amazing. The lyrics were clear and the emotions obvious. The set was what is expected from an Andrew Lloyd Webber play.Director Kris Jackson stayed close to the storyline making his editing connect with a flowing rendition of this beloved Webber play!

I visited Players by the Sea this past Friday to see The Color Purple and I was extremely pleased. Great venue and staff! A makeshift bar is available, serving soft drinks, wine and beer for $4-5. Cash only! The theater is small and intimate; therefore, any seat is a good seat! Plenty of free parking.

This is one of my favorite places to frequent! I first became a member by winning a silent auction item for two season tickets several years ago and have been hooked ever since. The theatre always brings relevant plays or musicals, completely uncensored, and will keep you entertained from the moment you arrive until you leave. They have recently done a remodel and it looks great! They offer wine, beer and sodas for a suggested donation (so bring cash!) and the volunteers working the concessions table are always so nice and friendly. One thing to note though is to make sure you arrive within plenty of time for curtain call. It's a small theatre; seating is limited and mostly on a first come, first serve basis. Definitely buy your tickets ahead of time too. It tends to be an older crowd and when I first became a member one of the volunteers commented that it was nice to see some younger faces interested in the arts as well. I would love to see this place sell out every show (which they nearly do now) and for it to have more attention around town. It's such a gem and we are so lucky to have this local theatre with such talented casts right in our backyard.

I just came back from seeing Dreamgirls showcased at Players by The Sea Theater in Jax Bch.I'm a volunteer and I thank you so much for the staff always asking me to come back. I love greeting the new patrons and I love the hospitality that the PBTS staff extend to me. I also like chatting with other volunteers as well it makes the Friday night go by real fast.I would HIGHLY recommend PBTS Drama Theatre.Anyone that wants a family night out when Family Theater is open. For the adults to have a Friday night or Saturday night out it's very quaint. The prices are reasonable for the snacks and for the bverages and I love the ambiance of just being away and supporting local theater and I will be there with the upcoming shows thank you back in the future as a volunteer and I will see you at the front door
