Delightfully unrefined. It's a dive, it's older than dirt, service staff is good as well is the experience. Definitely going back!

Well I did a thing today! Pete's Bar turned 90. It's always nice to attend a Birthday Party of someone or thing older than you. My memories of Pete's go back to the days of when Jacksonville was dry on Sunday the beaches were wet. When the Rite Spot was Pete's neighbor and beer was always cold at Pete's.So today they celebrate turning 90 after a couple of weather related delays. The weather did not disappoint.The crowd was large with numerous vendors and a stage outside. Inside folks were playing pool and enjoying the ambiance that Pete's is known for!Cheers Pete's to memories that have lasted a life time!

When the bartender tells you this is the definition of a dive bar, you know you are at the right place.

This is the oldest bar in Duval county and it is so cool! If you like old bars with a bar top, loud music, and some pool tables, this is the spot for you. There were two bars separated by some pool tables and foosball tables. They had some T-shirts here which were cool. The bartenders were cool and made good drinks. Plenty of funny signs hanging around the place as well. This place seems like it is a local spot for the young crowd, it began to get busy on a Saturday night and seemed to be a lot of local kids back home from college for the holiday. So be aware if that is not your scene.

Since coming back in town, I have had so much fun at Pete's bar. I've been able to catch up with friends and family in an environment that can only be described as loving and fun!! God bless you!!!-Justin and Naomi

WOAH!!!! Pete's changed a ton since I was last there! The bar itself is definitely still Pete's, minus the smoking (which is nice ! I used to hate waking up & all my clothes smelled like an ashtray) I LOVE what they did with a massive outdoor area that has 2 bars, and ample seating! They added new bathrooms too, which are way nicer than the old ones (that are now a little "casino" area). Still pouring good drinks, still that Pete's vibe that's kept it a well loved Duvall County gem for the past 90 years !

This is a great local dive bar. I bought a hat and found people in St Pete saying it's one of the best dive bars in the state!

This bar is outstanding. Wild on the weekends. They have all the tequilas. They sell belle glos by the bottle for only $40. They have 4 different bar tops, separated by room, maximizing your chances of finding your favorite bartender! John Couley is a legend. Cheers!

Holy crap. The time of times. Absolutely splendid vibes here. The crowd and staff were all chillers. The inside is dive bar vibe the outside is beach vibe. Buddy and I thought we would come here for one beer but the energy was way too good to quit there. There's a cigarette vending machine. You can bring your own food in. Beers are less than $5. Music was off the charts, mix of metal, dance, the Beatles. Unquestionably the #1 bar in jax. First bar open post prohibition here too which is pretty dope. 10/10 would chill here again.
