Incredible Customer Service for Food Allergies - 12/10!Pandan Leaves went above and beyond to accommodate my lengthy list of food allergies. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail truly made my day. When you walk in, it's dimly lit and cozy. A few booths and few tables/chairs. You order at the back counter and you pay ahead of time. Lots of sushi options and hibachi options. Nice Japanese/americanized fusion. So so good. My day was a little bumpy before visiting Pandan Leaves, let me explain why: I stopped by a neighboring restaurant, called Aloha Waffle Bar, hoping to grab a meal. Unfortunately, their staff refused to share any ingredient information, citing concerns about "revealing secret recipes." Despite explaining that I only needed allergen details for health reasons--emphasizing that I wasn't interested in copying their recipes or taking photos, I simply have an autoimmune condition that prevents me from being able to blindly order and would need some help confirming if a few of my food allergen triggers were present in the ingredients of the food I would be ordering--the person training a new employee was dismissive and even rolled their eyes. When I pointed out that the FDA requires transparency about allergens, particularly the "Big 8," the response was both unhelpful and condescending. The employee training the new person, even said, "I absolutely can't tell you if what you're asking about is in our food," and then winked.HE WINKED. I was so confused. At that point, I asked directly: "So I shouldn't order this? Can you be clear? This is a matter of life and death." The lack of concern or clear communication made it impossible to feel safe eating there, so I left and headed to Pandan Leaves next door instead.I walked in and took a deep breath. I headed to the back and calmly asked if it would be possible to order something made to order and prevent the inclusion of 3 major food allergens. The answer was immediately yes. They were knowledgeable of cross contact and ensured me I'd be safe. What a difference! The staff at Pandan Leaves were amazing from start to finish. They carefully noted all my allergies, confirmed they could prepare a safe meal for me, and triple-checked everything before serving. They even prepared a list of sauces I could enjoy without worry. Their thoughtfulness and diligence completely turned my day around. Not only was the customer service outstanding, but the food was delicious--made fresh to order and packed with flavor. I'm so grateful for the team at Pandan Leaves. They didn't just meet expectations--they exceeded them.If you're looking for a place that truly cares about their customers and delivers exceptional food, I can't recommend Pandan Leaves enough. 12/10!

4/5This was our second visit, and it was a much better experience! The all-you-can-eat sushi and Asian cuisine for just $16.99 per person is a great deal. The service was fast and friendly, the restaurant was clean, and overall, it's an excellent value for the price. Our first visit didn't go so well because both of our orders were overly seasoned--too spicy and salty--but the AYCE option definitely made up for it this time.A heads-up--be mindful when ordering sushi, as they do charge for any leftovers. However, we had some leftover salad and soup and weren't charged, so it seems the policy applies only to sushi.Would definitely recommend for a satisfying and affordable meal!

Not super impressed. We came in for the AUCE Speciel but was told that was only on the weekends. Restaurant itself is decent, a soft attempt to add ambiance but seems very low budget. The food came out fairly quick. We ordered the starter platter, most of the food ojbit was good. The wontons were a bit overcooked. For dinner, I had the Thai curry, the bowl makes it look bigger than it actually is. It's was mostly sauce with little actual ingredients. It was also too sweet for me making it hard to enjoy. Server was nice enough, attentive and listened to food specifications.

Stopped in here because we went to the aloha waffle and saw this place next door, wanted to try the buffet. Came back on a Monday night but now the buffet is only on the weekends but nothing says that. Be that as it may we stayed for the regular menu. We started with the starter tasting platter, the crab ragoons were hard. The chicken wings were also dry and hard. My boyfriends curry was huge but mostly liquid. I ordered the Thai pineapple fried rice with shrimp and scallops. It was ok and all the food came out hot. Our server was nice and attentive. Would try it again for the buffet.

Trying something new here! Reason for visiting: DinnerDay & Time: Tuesday around 7 pmParty of: 2Reservations: n/aOrder Type: take-outWaiter: N/aService: Fast. Ordered over the phone and was done in the time they said Ambiance: didn't stick around to catch a vibeFood Order:-Appetizer: crab ragoon- very oily and probably would have been better if it wasn't take out.-Drink: -Entree: Thai pineapple fried rice with shrimp- order this with shrimp sauce to add more flavor. A bite with pineapple makes it better but it kinda lacked flavor for me.Extras: Portion Size: 5 ragoons and at least two cups of fried rice Conclusion:I think I need to dine in at this place. Staff was friendly, but my meal was just okay.

Here is my overall review of Pandan Leaves:Ambiance- 3.5/5- It was a small quaint restaurant. Nothing too special but it was nice that they had a nice outdoor spot in the back. They also had a private area in the back which could be utilized for a group.Service- 5/5- The sweetest people! They were very kind and made sure that we were always checked on and made sure our orders. They are Indonesian owned and it was great talking with their team.Food- 4.5/5- Overall, solid and good menu especially for their all you can eat. Portions were generous. Seafood on the sushi was fresh!Definitely coming back when in the area again!

Ordered a Mexican Sushi Roll(not pictured), it's was okay wasn't a fan of the warm cream cheese. Got a side of fried rice flavor was good but could've used an onion to boost flavor, tad bit on the oily side. Ordered Crab Rangoon, wasn't impressed very oily, a bit over cooked and filling was sweeter than any other Rangoon I've tasted. Wife ordered the Thai pineapple fried rice w/Shrimp, portion size was good flavor was okay(strong pineapple flavoring) nice sized shrimp seasoned well. Would try again in the future

I decided to try the bulgogi, I normally have it at an all you can eat place but it's always too much. The bulgogi at Pandan is delicious. It has a little more oil than eating directly from a grill but it's still delicious. The meal came with broccoli, rice and cucumbers. The broccoli was good too and the rice with the bulgogi was a perfect combination. The staff was very attentive and my server came at just the right time to ensure I was happy with my meal and ask if I wanted anything else. She would smile if she happened to look up and our eyes met. She was very professional with just the right amount of friendliness. There are 4 booths, 3 tables that seat 4 and a counter for sitting indoors plus outdoor seating. The restaurant isn't big but it's big enough. Their menu is very diverse with curry to kalbi to sushi and other Asian dishes. Many patrons came in as I ate. There was a variety of orders and to me that proves the chef knows their thing. This is my 3rd visit and I see many more in my future.

This is my 2nd visit. My wife mentioned they do an all you can eat menu now, so I figured I'd come and check it out. Honestly, since I personally don't eat sushi or sushimi, the only sections left on the AYCE menu that appeals to me is the appetizer and habachi sections, and perhaps the soups. So I was concerned about the habachi items because I was concerned about the sides such as the plain noodles (would they be too plain and bland?) And typically the grilled veggies usually contain ones I'm not keen on like zucchini, squash, & mushrooms. So what I decided to do was to order a round of items from the appetizer section and then one main item from their regular menu. So, since this is an Indonesian restaurant primarily, I decided to order the Mie Goreng as my main and then I got a spring roll, a chicken wing, a crab rangoon, a fried dumpling, and some crab salad. They provide a paper tick sheet that you write in the item number in each of the 5 boxes. Just one item per box, to not overwhelm the kitchen and reduce food waste. You can always order another round afterwards. I liked my Mie Goreng with steak, though I wish I would've ordered the fried egg sunny side up instead of over easy. The yolk was jammy which doesn't mix in as well with the noodles like a runny yolk would have. The steak was decently tender. I asked for a 5 for spice level, but felt that for me it was more like a 3. It took a while before the spice kicked in for me. All the apps I tried were good and cooked to order. The difference between the crab salad on the AYCE menu and the Kani salad on the regular menu is that the the Kani has some crab roe on top and perhaps more cucumber mixed in. Not something I'd miss anyway. I only got one round of items from the AYCE menu because I was adequately full after the Mie Goreng. Economically, what I did wasn't a cheap meal. Maybe next time I'll stick to the AYCE menu. The service was friendly. The ambiance is OK. It's not fancy. It is a small place. Pictures attached.
