Since moving to Jax from Miami I have been missing a great unique restaurant with great food and good vibes. Othello fills the void. The cocktails that I had were fantastic and had unique flavors in familiar form. If you like Bourbon I recommend the "Neighborhood Association" I also had "The Dirtiest" martini that was familiar but elevated. I look forward to trying others next time.I ordered eggplant dip and zaa'tar bread that was rustic and reminded me of fresh chewy bread baked in the local village "fournos" in Greece I also tried the tender seared Octopus over cannellini beans that was delicious, paired with a nice fresh salad. 10/10 , the staff was friendly and knew how to cook and make cocktails. I'm excited to go back and try more.

Met a friend for dinner at Othello - beautiful restaurant inside and out. Our server was also attentive and well informed. The food was good, not great. We ordered several tapas - - pickles: they were pickled radishes and cauliflower, they were okay, but probably wouldn't order again- whipped feta: great flavor but too salty. Also, didn't come with anything to dip it with?? Had to purchase bread separately (bread is homemade and is great). My recommendation is to up the price a little so bread can be included and curb the salt a touch. - Batatas Bravas: excellent take on this dish, would order again. - Kibbeh: also very good - seared octopus: my personal favorite of the night, the cannellini beans were a nice touch - half dozen oysters: these were good, their homemade vinegar sauce was excellent. All in all, enjoyed the night and will try this restaurant again. Cheers!

We've been here twice now. We immediately booked another bar spot after our last trip! It's quaint and cozy. The ambiance feels as of your st a dinner party at the chef's house. The lighting is just right. It's not bet loud as there are only a few tables inside. They have an absolutely gorgeous courtyard. The food though....oh, my goodness! We've had the database bravas, best I've had! Crispy, chewy, and just the right amount for sharing. Infact everything is meant to be shared! We've also shared the tin board, hummus, baba ganoush. All amazing! Zataar bread and the Marissa bread. The beads are so fresh and piping hot, chewy!!! Last night we had the oysters, delish, simple, fresh!!! For our mains. I had the lamb shank served with rice and a poached pear to die for but huge! My husband had the roast chicken with couscous. Also delish and tender. We've had the branzino before and I would highly recommend that if you prefer seafood!Lastly, we order the mezcal cocktail with hot honey and the bourbon Tiki style cocktail. Both so good, we just shared back and forth

This place is as good as my friends and trusted coworkers told me! Wow! Not a lot of options which is great because I struggled enough with deciding what to get! The food we tried was delish! And well prepared ! The waitress (Elizabeth) was well informed on the menu and ready to answer all questions. We had the orange wine that we had been waiting to try, it did not disappoint! (Wine is $2 off at happy hour!) We tried the smelt, sooo good! I'd say it wasn't fishy at all. The flavor was perfect and like Elizabeth said the lime was a great touch! The olives were great as well! And they gave a perfect amount for 3 people! The table also tried the chorizo mushroom (vegan) , also yum! Seared octopus, so good and not chewy at all! They knew how to cook it! Beautifully seasoned! And the Branzino (fish) was great , not fishy, and well seasoned! A great portion size! Served with a salad! As well as the sweet potato which some how they have mastered cooking in a way I didn't know was possible! The ambiance was beautiful, loud, but not too loud, so fun, cozy like you're in a European restaurant! I can't wait to go back and try more! I highly recommend to all those looking for a food adventure !

Cute new restaurant in Springfield. Note there's only street parking, and this place is small! Maybe 3-4 tables of 4 and 3-4 tables on 2. They do have an outside area and I'm unsure of how many tables are outside. The place is so cute and inviting. They serve all natural wines that are delicious. Our table of 3 ordered 4 appetizers, 1 main and 1 dessert. Everything is meant to be shared. The whipped feta we added the harissa bread and the sea salt and olive oil bread, it was light and the bread baked to order! The cucumber salad was delicious and light, the hamachi crudo tasted fresh and very well balanced with herbs. Our main was the roasted half chicken, amazing! It was our favorite dish of the night, the chicken was atop couscous in an onion raisin reduction. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the entire main was well balanced and delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more!

We came in hungry and waked out satisfied! We ordered the patatas bravas, French toast, fried cheese, appetizer platter, and much more. We ate everything! Walking in the ambiance was so beautifully decorated offering the perfect vibes for brunch. Staff was so amazing and offered great suggestions through the meal. Everything was freshly made and made to perfection. My favorite dish was the fried cheese and patatas bravas. But everything was notable, can't go wrong with what you order.

Went here for Valentine's Day and had the best time! The space is beautiful and has a very cozy/intimate feel, so it was perfect for the holiday. I also appreciated that they didn't do a prix fixe menu. The food was awesome, we got the oysters, patatas bravas, the duck entree that was on special, and of course their house bread. Everything was delicious, not to mention the cocktails too! I'll definitely be back

Ohhhh really liked this new place in Springfield! Beautiful, beautiful build out! Inside is pretty small with maybe 8 tables and a bar, out back a pretty patio fully covered from the sun( thank you! ) with a bathroom. Just walking in I was impressed, felt like a place you would want to hang out! Now to the food we came for brunch which is a smaller menu, we got a bunch and shared: Fried cheese- delicious! i think it was halloumi (?) cheese fried and drizzled with honey, we all loved this! Breakfast spread- a breakfast charcuterie board! it was so simple but so delicious! Fresh flavors popping out everywhere! The ladies loved it guys might need more heartyCroque Habibti- classic french dish with twist, we of course added the egg, now this thing was hearty! Huge, dripping with cheese, ham, egg! so good! Spanish Tortilla- interesting not sure what I was expecting but this was different, a slice of like potato, spinach quiche with a sweet tomato sauceSweet Potato- roasted served with tahini, oil, and like a chimichurri sauce on top, didn't love it, would skip this next time All around really enjoyed our Sunday Brunch here!

I overly love this restaurant! This was some of the freshest food that I've had. They serve Mediterranean flavors with some amazing cocktails and wine. The batatas bravas, which are fried potato balls were really good and I'm surely going back for them! Their sea salt and olive oil bread goes very well with the whipped feta but they have different varieties of bread and dips. I also enjoyed the citrus spritz cocktail and the oysters! The staff and owners were so welcoming and it is truly a vibe here. Highly recommend checking out the experience for yourself.
