I go to the Orange Park Women's Club monthly for a DAR meeting. The meeting space is a pretty good size. There are roughly 90 people at each meeting and there is enough room. There is also a kitchen and restroom in the room which makes it nice. The space could use some updating but really the space is fine for what it is there for. There is plenty of parking around and while it can get crowded, I have arrived late and never had an issue finding a spot. I would like the walking path lit at night but other than that the space is perfectly fine.

What seemed like a quaint, attractive, little venue to host our wedding reception turned into a nightmare. I'm happy that our money went toward a charitable organization but I wouldn't have my wedding there again in a million years. The carpet was soaking wet after they attempted to clean it and wreaked of mildew. The water was spilling out onto the dance floor and people were slipping and falling. The person who handed us the keys acted like they couldn't smell it but everyone noticed. Several members of the club told us that they had known about the carpet for days before the wedding. All we were able to do with the smell was mask it a bit. My wife's dress was ruined! Turned black at the bottom by the filth of the carpet. Several kids clothing was ruined from crawling on the floor. When we said something about it to Ellaine and Betty, the two women responsible for renting the venue, both told us they didn't like our attitudes, were very defensive, even stated that it was our own fault. They used the analogy of "if you went to a restaurant and you didn't like the food, then you don't eat it!" Really!!! I about lost it. We don't plan for two years, invite 150 people, and spend thousands of dollars to go to a restaurant. So we were basically told on the eve of our wedding that if we didn't like the cake then we didn't have to eat it. How incredibly rude, inconsiderate, irresponsible, and just plain offensive is that? Since we still respected the works of the Orange Park Woman's Club and the charitable work that they perform, we did not request any money back on the venue. All that we requested was that they pay for the cleaning of my wife's ruined wedding dress. We were very rudely met with defensive attitudes, were told by Ellaine and Betty that they were not at fault, were made to feel like it was our own fault, told that they didn't appreciate our attitude, told that we did not make any complaint during the event even though we complained to several members of the club including the President of the club, and were offered only our deposit back. With the help of our friends and family who scrambled tirelessly to make the venue somewhat presentable, we were able to have our wedding. Candles, glade plug-ins, about 12 bottles of odor-absorbing powder made the smell tolerable. But we struggled to keep people inside the building. Almost all of our guests hung out outside the building. Who wants to eat their food with that kind of smell lingering around? Most of all, we were dissatisfied most not by the condition in which we were handed the venue but with the rudeness, disrespect, and absolutely terrible customer service of with which we were treated. I'm glad that our wedding venue expenses went toward charity but I wouldn't host an event at the Orange Park Woman's Club again in a million years.

This place was pretty nice and well set up. One major issue I saw was that the outdoor venue for wedding set up was not properly. There is a really nice area up front for a groom and their groomsman or of course for the bride. The back also has another area where the men could be but not as nice. But overall this is a nice place.

I've managed many events, but this historic space is unlike any other in the area. The new flooring provides a beautiful backdrop to any event, and the new white banquet chairs dress up the room nicely. I highly recommend this unique and intimate space for your next event. They also have a separate room in the front of the clubhouse for a small gathering place.

We had our wedding reception in February 2016. We had to go through the formalities of signing a contract which in short stated any damage to the hall will risk in losing our deposit and we must clean the hall and leave by midnight. We paid the deposit of $200 and had our wonderful reception. We cleaned the hall and left by 1130. We didn't get a call from anyone from the club for 2 months. Finally, I called asking for my deposit. The lady in charge tells me someone from the club wrote we left a huge stain on the carpet in the middle of the club thus forfeiting the deposit. She has no proof like a picture of the stain other than a word of someone else. And to make matters worse she was rude about it. No apology for lack of communication or attempt to set an appointment for a walk through to "show" the stain. Very unprofessional. And I was smart enough to take before and after pictures of the club but I didn't get a picture of the location they were referring to. I promise, I left the club spot less because I wanted the deposit back. And if I made the stain I will own up to it because that's just who I am and also I signed contract, so I will be willing to forfeit the deposit. I am disgusted by how someone can take advantage of someone like this.. This is how you lose respect for an organization
