OP Fish House & Oyster Bar

If I can label this visit for a subject line, it would be - It's worth it. First time visiting. Rave reviews regarding customer service was true. Jenna is the manager and she was super nice, understanding and accommodating. Our waitress was super patient. Will definitely be back Tuesday or on a Wednesday night. I was stuffed as the food was on point . Sauces tasted homemade. Good tarter sauce for those who like in fried dishes. Blackened was good also. Manager had a special spicy drink with jalapeño added with Patron that was ideal. Thank you all for being so kind! I'll be back for that alone because customer service is everything for me. Great job.

Bottomless Mimosas... Count me in!I had the pleasure of trying their lobster and grits for the very first time, but the seasoning didn't quite hit the mark for me. While I wouldn't order it again, I can't stop raving about the calamari and gator tails, which I absolutely adored! My wife opted for the snapper, and it was cooked to perfection, just like always. I used to frequent a beloved fish house near Atlantic, and I was heartbroken when it closed its doors. Now, I'm crossing my fingers that this gem can become our new go-to brunch spot.The service was impeccable -- our server was wonderfully attentive, frequently circling back with a carafe to refill our mimosas. Just a heads up, those drinks have a way of sneaking up on you!The restaurant boasts beautiful outdoor seating, creating a lovely ambiance, and it's dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for pet lovers like us.I truly LOVE THIS PLACE!

Back again for lobster night!!!! Love this hole in the wall and the service. I come to Jax at least once a month and this always on my list for dinner during the week.Keep up what you guys do. If you can sit at the bar she's the bomb! I never walk away hungry and the price is still very fair.

Our favorite seafood place in Orange Park/Jacksonville area. Food is always delicious and perfectly cooked. Staff are fantastic. Best of all they allow pets. Our fur babies were very happy. Mood is always positive and eelaxing.

The seafood here is very fresh and everything is truly cooked to order. The shrimp are very buttery and to die for! The vibes here are unmatched!

My first visit. I've been hearing about this restaurant since I came to Jacksonville. Went with out of town friends last night and it did not disappoint. The shrimp was fresh and very good. I absolutely loved the oysters. My friends loved the hush puppies and their tacos. Will visit again.

OP Fish House is making me rethink every 5 star review I've ever given. NEVER, HAVE I EVER.....1. Had a plate full of food and everything on it was amazing! If you don't know what I'm talking about you are spoiled! The Captain's Breakfast comes with a scrambled egg (more like 3), a delicious perfectly homemade southern biscuit, sausage, a piece of grilled and a piece of fried chicken, sausage gravy, and a side. I chose the Jalapeno cheese grits. Dude! Amazing! The best grits ever!2. Bottomless Zing Zang bloody Mary's and Wycliff Mimosas for $10.99. OMG! Really???? I'm used to paying $2.75 for a riff raff bloody and drinking several. 3. Service so good the staff come to eat on their time off! Super friendly! Everything you could want for a brunch!4. The restaurant was built into an old farmhouse. It's over 100 years old and yet beautifully decorated to meet its seafaring clientele. I love this place. I will be back to try their weekly specials and anytime I come back to the area.This is one of my most highly recommended places EVER to eat.

We started our meal with calamari which was supposed to include banana peppers. The calamari pieces were large and cooked perfectly. Would've loved to have had more banana peppers since we could only find about 6 pieces. They add the perfect complement to the calamari. We also ordered the hush puppies with the mixed jam. I love hush puppies but have to say these were not very good at all. They were so hard we could barely bite through them. Plus, $16 seems really steep. Finished off with a Po' Boy with oysters. In my opinion the roll chosen for a Po' Boy makes or breaks the sandwich. This roll was fantastic! The oysters were ok but we're overcooked.

This place is cool, creative and entirely focused on the culinary side of downhome seafood. It's everything an oyster bar and seafood restaurant should be. Tucked away in a natural setting. Situated in an historic, old house. Servers and cooks moving quickly around serving customers with a smile and great food. It's the kind of place that you're glad that exists. The ambiance is no joke either. Outdoor seating and an outdoor bar. Indoor seating with wild murals of giant squid, fish and octopus. And again an off-the-beaten path backyard kind of feel. It's also clearly a family place with menu items credited to family members. Makes you feel like some of the food has been refined over the years. So, yeah 5 stars. I'll definitely go back when I'm back in Jax. And take the whole family. Cause that's who they're cooking for.

Food was fresh, well prepared and plated well. Straightforward (good) flavors for the fish dishes and very flavorful sides. The oysters were fresh and had great flavor. Lauren did an excellent job with handling a busy bar, food service at the bar, and bar tables. Always nice to see skilled professionals at work. Another restaurant that knows what they are good at and stays with it.
