On the Fly Food Truck

Best tacos you will find in Jax especially if you want something unlike the ordinary. The On The Fly sauce is so good, you may just bite off a finger accidently if the sauce lands on one. I've been here several times. It's a food truck a block away from the main courthouse. The sweet potato planks are my fave but today I got something different. The macho nacho added shrimp. Delicious! I also got the El Diablo which is my husband's fave, he will not let me visit this place and not order him one. The sandwich was created after the owners uncle and it has everything from salami, other cuts of meat along side Doritos and the on the fly sauce with cumbers, tomatoes, lettuce and everything else you would dress up a grade A cold cute sandwich

The food is amazing! The flavor was perfect with the chips and the sandwich. The service was very good and fast. The ambiance was an outdoor setting with tables and a view of thx city from an ants eye view. I'm all, I would recommend stopping off at On the Fly for your lunch needs in downtown!

This is still one of the best lunch spots in town., hands down. My go to is the chicken quesadilla a really "packed to the brim" with flavor dish. You start with a homemade tortilla, then pack on pulled pork so sender it melts in mouth, banana peppers, cheese, onions and spices that really elevate this dish. Then it is topped off with On the Fly Sauce, which I could actually drink it is so good. It is a dish so amazing, so full of flavor that I would expect it at a expensive restaurant, not a food truck. Not that other dishes are good, the blue cheese chips, the tacos and just about everything on the menu is fantastic but the chicken quesadilla just happens to be my favorite. I asked the owner one time, "is there a chance that you would ever open a brick and mortar location". He explained that he has had multiple opportunities but really enjoys his schedule. It enables him to have weekends off, to be home when his kids get home from school and to have a normal life, a rarity among top chefs. I cannot say I blame him, in fact I applaud his focus and ability to find balance in his life. Plus I get quesadillas at an amazing price.

Woowzie wow!! This by far is one of my favorite food trucks. I don't get a chance to visit them much cause of location but when I do it's definitely a treat for my belly!! A few days ago I got a chance to do takeout. I did the blue chips, homemade chips with balsamic vinegar and crumbled blue cheese. I love the bit of salty flavor not overdone at all! Also got what I consider to be the award winner pulled pork planks, baked sweet potato slices topped with seasoned pulled pork covered in cream, scallions, and gorgonzola cheese, absolutely to die for! Never a let down this lunch was delish!

Today my friends and I decided to walk to the food truck for lunch during our conference at the Prime Osborn Center because we were tired of the boxed lunches. Boy did we make a good choice! This place was fast and super delicious. I ordered the firecracker ahi tuna and it was so delicious. The tuna was seared with sesame seeds and then placed on a wasabi soy slaw with pickled ginger. It was so delicious! I could eat it every day for the rest of my life!Another friend got the ahi tuna tacos and she loved them as well. She doesn't normally like seafood but this was perfect and so flavorful. Another person in our group got the taco combo (2 for $6!) one chicken and one pork. Both were delicious but she said the pork was her favorite and would order 2 of those next time. Finally, my friend order the cheesy wet burrito, which was so full of flavor and definitely will fill up even the hungriest person in your group! Please find this food truck ASAP and treat yourself to these fresh flavors.

If I could give this truck six stars, I would. I had heard nothing but praise for it, and decided I needed to give it a shot. I didn't know what I was missing! If you're a first-timer, introduce yourself to the menu with the Ahi Tuna Salad. Perfectly-seared tuna sitting atop a bed of cabbage slaw, tossed in the most AMAZING wasabi dressing you'll ever eat. You'll get a few stinging bites, but I really appreciate a good, strong wasabi. The portion was also perfect for what I needed at lunch, and the dressing wasn't too heavy. Of course, being a first timer I had to try the blue cheese chips (loaded, with bacon, tomatoes, balsamic, and green onions), which were HUGE for the $6 I paid. You Definitely get your money's worth of high-quality food here. A word to the wise, get there early! This truck is in high-demand and is well-established for its great menu, and deservedly so. Ill be taking my lunches early from now on :)

I have been going to On The Fly regularly for over a year and not once have I had a bad meal! The food is always perfectly done and the menu is full of delicious food to try. Chef Andrew Ferenc is super personable and even remembers how I like my order. They are located in the corner of Jefferson and Adams during the week 11 am- 3 pm with other appearances at special events.They have a website www.ontheflyjax.com which has a portion of their menu but they often add or feature new items. They also have a phone number you can call for orders but when it's busy they don't take phone orders. Must try for OTF is the Cheesy Wet Burrito ask for extra On the Fly sauce! I could drink the sauce it's that good! Also the Firecracker Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna that's some of best food I've ever tasted!

Stop whatever it is you are doing, and sprint forthwith to the corner of Adams and Jefferson where On the Fly is set up for lunch everyday and order anything, and I mean anything, from their menu and you will be really happy you did. I know Yelp crew, I know...my review should be longer, but im really at nuff said at this point. Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent variety.

The prices are ridiculous. 15.00 for the fried chicken sandwich and it was overcooked on the outside. There was no fries like other food trucks do. Drink a separate.sandwich was subpar. Thumbs down
