So.... It has a bathroom. Which is better than not having one, I guess. The bathrooms are so gross. It has a detector that detects when you get off the toilet and then flushes. When my kids used it, it basically detects the top of their heads and kept flushing while they were on it. With a child pooping, it is gonna flush and spray toilet water on them. Ewwww. Also, the door latch was on locked and on the inside it had the red thing reading "Secure", but then someone opened the door. This was while I was standing by the door, and my child was on the toilet. The park is basically some benches and a green space. maybe good for eating lunch (except with the bathrooms being what they are, I think it's better to buy fast food for access to amenities). There is a volleyball court here with one net.The park is a Pokemon gym.

I've been going to Oceanfront Park for many years. The first time I went to the park I met friends for lunch as they have several picnic pavilions. My last several visits I practiced beginners Tai Chi at sunset. The park is on the beach and offers a free private parking lot. This is a great place to practice Tai Chi as the ocean noizes help you relax. The grass in the center of the park is soft so I'm sure it's also good for yoga. There were a couple of public restrooms open from daylight to dusk. You will also find lots of dogs being walked in the area. If you're looking for a beachfront park look no further.

This park has everything you need, and/or looking for, and then some!First and foremost, there is a large parking lot. Considering how busy the beach can get at times I'm not going to say there will always be a space open, but your chances of finding a parking space are much better than other beachfront parks...and it's free. The park not only has a large parking lot, but it has restrooms and beach showers. There are boardwalks going out to the beach as well for ease and protection of the dunes. If you are in the park a little after dusk and/or before the first light, please know the parking lot has lighting for safety.Aside from the above, there are sheltered picnic areas, a large grassy area for just chillin' or playin' around, a sand volleyball court, and educational information signs about the area/Jacksonville Beach. Plus, there are concrete figures for you to enjoy, take pictures of or selfies, kids to play on, or whatever. In the center of the park, there is a bronze statue which is considered the focal point of the park. It is meant to symbolize the dedication to preserving public access to the beach for generations to come. If you are local or a tourist and haven't been to this beach...put it on your list to check out. Even if you just want to enjoy an early evening walk on the beach instead of a day at the beach...this beach is perfect for a little something different. There is handicapped parking, handicapped access to the beach, and to the grassy area. (Please note: Across the street from the grassy area is UNF's Seaside Sculpture Park--another good place to check out if you have time.)

Super cute little spot to enjoy the beach.Do wish there was some playground equipment and definitely more showers (there's only one). One of the main staircases to the beach was broken. My kids enjoyed the animal statues and walking around the circle.

Water is murky at the time we visited, probably because of the on and off rain. Our teen picked up a broken glass which seemed to be from a beer bottle, and I've picked up a couple of plastic items, fork and straw from under the sand where our toddler was digging. But other than the above small issues, this place may have had a better water clarity if it wasn't for the rain; and maybe, no broken glass or small trash, if people who come here will discipline themselves and make use of the trash cans close by.We liked it because it's actually clean overall. There are hotels you can rent by the shore, the beach is long, and the sand is almost white and fine. It has free parking! Yup, free parking at your content. They also have a couple of outdoor showers for rinsing, 4 unisex restrooms with metal toilets, and easy, clear, beach accesses. They also have shaded picnic tables and benches, not sure, but i think i also saw bbq grills. A few blocks away are the shoppimg centers and restaurants; and the hotel we got was just less than 15 mins away.Overall, this beach is free, parking is free, easilly accessible, and complete with all the basic amenities for free, too, that a family needs to enjoy the sun and sea together. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area and just wanna have a little fun in the sun or a picnic by the beach!

It's a nice little beachfront park that has a small parking lot with free parking. They added nice bathrooms last year but people trash them at least half the time. Don't freak out if someone crawls out from under the walkover- there's usually one or two people living beneath it. A few of the pics on here are from the Seawalk Pavillion and Latham Plaza. Mine is from the park, looking west.
