NYC Holey Moley Bagel Shop

First time here and the service was underwhelming. The shop was SMOKEY as heck and people were legitimately rubbing their eyes at their tables crying. I couldn't stay inside because of how uncomfortable it was. Not sure if there are no fans??? Or no way to alleviate that?? Idk. Not a very hospitable environment though. The food took way longer than a bagel sandwich should take to make, so I'm unsure if they're understaffed or what, but over 30min for a sausage egg and cheese shouldn't be the case. That's just excessive.The food was good but I wouldn't go out of my way. Maybe door dash lol

Stopped by here after seeing they had a Mexican chorizo burrito/bowl available for breakfast. In a little tiny strip center, you have to look twice but easy to get into and plenty of parking.First impression - shop is very clean, but employee not wearing a mask. Little disconcerting in these times, especially when there are signs everywhere about safety and masks. Teen and I ordered the bowls and my sister ordered the burrito. Bowl was priced about $2 less, and you definitely got a lot less. The burrito was HUGE! Enough for 2 people or eat half and save. The bowl comes in a small to-go container, and took up 1/2 of the container. The other half was filled with a ?bun?, slightly toasted? I guess to make a sandwich if you wanted to. I would have prefered even half a toasted bagel over the so-so bun. Didn't eat it, wish I had known ahead of time to save waste.All in all the chorizo mixture was good. Had just enough heat to make you aware it was there. Eggs and potatoes rounded it out. We also tried their tiny apple fritters. Very good, but a little floral tasting to my liking, but a nice sweet bite anyway.They had a small selection of bagels, looks like they either sold out or didn't have that many to begin with. Did not leave hungry, left with a smile. Works for me.

My family and I truly enjoyed the quality of food at this place! We will definitely return! I am excited to recommend the "spinach, avocado, & egg on a sesame bagel" choice as it was a delicious, breakfast treat!The painting on one wall is very vivid and eye-catching, the two servers were friendly, and the cost is a little above average.

My husband has picked up bagels from this shop before and their breakfast bagel sandwiches were so yum! So I was looking forward to actually checking the place out and eating there. It's a very tiny place - the corner shop in small shopping strip- has about 4 tables and a window bar top. They have a small assortment of bagels to choose from and variety of cream cheeses. Always disappointed when you order something and they are out of it. There should be a sign so you take that out of your options when you're deciding what to order. They were out of "bagel sliders". Also, they were out of coffee. They had only been open for 2 hours and they are out of coffee??? They can't make more? LolEnded up ordering a French toast bagel with plain cream cheese and a HOBO breakfast bagel, which was sausage, egg, cheese, and home fries on a bagel. Great bagels- perfectly chewy inside and toasty on outside. Would stop by again if in the neighborhood, but would not make a special trip out. I need coffee with my breakfast!

This a relatively new business that opened just before the lockdown/pandemic, Blah, Blah,Blah!Bad timing and little chance to work the bugs out for the opportunity to serve a quality product. Well it is fully operational and with quality bagels and smears and good service and price points Good small business owner making it work. People have said there are better Bagel Shops in Jax, OK where? And who wants to drive 1 hour? For this side of the river and where it is? Great job

This place is easy to miss even if you're looking for it, but it sure is worth turning around for--twice, in my case! They have a simple menu but their bagels are excellent! And that's what drew me!! Coming from up north, I've missed a good lox and bagel sandwich, and I'm so happy that I've finally found a legit place that serves it! We got there fairly early for a Saturday and I could not believe the steady stream of people that obviously knew about this little gem. Will come back for sure!

They are always friendly and helpful. They don't skimp on the cream cheeseand will make it as you ask. There potato bowls are delicious! They have been closed some lately more than their sign says but they had a breakdown of equipment and then someone broke into their store and absconded with everything they could. No I don't work there. So if your going to judge them because they weren't open the one time you came by and took a picture of there sign, maybe you should be kind and think there might have been a reason and that there sign may have fallen of. They are a nice group of people and they have been good to this community!

Great service, solid food & cool hang out spot. Steak, egg & cheese breakfast sandwhich is fire!!

Holey Moley gets their bagels shipped fresh every morning from NY (Bronx), so anyone saying they're not authentic NY bagels is wrong. If you want your bagel toasted, ask. The food is delicious - bagels, omelets, home fries, etc. - and the staff is always polite and accommodating. Highly recommend!
