It's always relaxing for me when I do the River walk. I began at the Winston YMCA and headed toward downtown. It's a good walk even though the path is under construction at the CSX.It's still worth going down for the views and the exercise. Just turn around at the construction. The pictures tell the story.

We stayed at Hyatt so the Riverwalk was right in front of us. It looks well maintained and definitely a great way to burn some calories after dinner @ Morton's. Plenty of runners there on weekends, not sure about weekdays. Views of Main Street Bridge for sure make this walk one of a kind.

We walked the whole distance of this river walk, it's only 2 miles, so you can go there and back and get in some good evening steps. It's very pretty all along the walk with twinkling lights across the river and an occasional small boat sailing past. The walk is very user-friendly with flat bricks and even surfaces so you can run with your dog or ride your bicycle.

Wow! Its been several years since visiting this area and with the Jax Landing removed it has really opened up the North Bank Riverwalk for some great views of downtown Jacksonville. There is a large green field that can be used for a variety of activities. We saw people walking dogs, playing soccer, picnicking, etc. The city definitely needs to keep this area a green space. My family and I felt safe and are looking forward to more outings here.

I absolutely love the river walks on both sides of the river in downtown Jax and in San Marco. I have been walking these walks for many years. I am thankful our city built and maintain these riverwalks. I walk on the Northbank more, because it is two blocks from my job location. I can actually walk from downtown to Riverside on the river walk and I have done it many times. If you need to walk, this is the place to do it. Underneath the Acosta Bridge, they have a small workout Park. I think this is great. Take a walk!

The views are spectacular and i really wish it was not under too much construction and covered with homeless and not many others. Maybe it changes in the future. It needs to because it is just a shame for a big city to have this being wasted.

Good jogging option but homeless litter the landscape bringing down the possibility of uplifting the spirit. Water is a tad muddy so not exciting in that regard either and mostly strewn with corporate buildings so not offering cafe culture of athletic diversions. All in all likely a good idea and lots of funds spent to develop the walk but highly under utilized.

The Northbank Riverwalk is ok, but I much prefer the Southbank. The Northbank isn't very long and there are a lot of homeless people down there. The view also isn't nearly as good as it is from the Southbank. If at The Landing, it's nice to take a short little stroll along it with the hubby, but I don't go out of my way to go to the Northbank like I do the Southbank.

I was a little let down with Jacksonville's famous River Walk, I was expecting so much more. Its just a bout a block long if not smaller. There was a band playing live music and the most entertaining aspect was watching a drunk dance in front of the stage. Sorry Jacksonville.

Very cool part of JAX with lots of shops, bars and clubs. Parking is a bit of a nightmare, but totally worth the hassle. One could easily lose track of time mingling about down there.
