Such a great place to bring your dog to be a fun and happy dog. Big dog bone shaped pool so your pooch can frolic and grab balls and splash and have a good time. There is a section for small dog and a large area for the big dogs or the small dogs with big dog energy. All or most of the dog pawrents are super friendly and have great furbabies that love coming up to you to have pets and snuggles while running and playing with their pals. The have ball chucks for tossing the tennis balls and doggie waste stations for picking up the poops. You can buy monthly or yearly memberships.Cleo approved with paws up ! Can't find it, just look for the airport in Fernandina because it's right across from it.

Looked like a nice park on line. Getting there is a different story. Coming from the mainland thinking I found a great park to exercise my boy. Boy was I disappointed. Private members you have to register before you can go in to get the correct procedures blah blah blah. Why don't you put this all in the information why does someone come all the way over here to find out blah, blah blah very disappointed.

Went over the weekend after a few of years of not going...the pool was filthy, dog poop everywhere. I guess it caught me eye when the recent news story as to their 3rd or 4th director, in as many years, resigning and an unrelated story that drugs, meant for the shelter animals, are missing from the shelter next door. While there I spoke to a lady who had been bringing her dog to the park for a few weeks, she said as soon as her month is up she's not returning as her dog has had a urinary infection and skin issues since attending the park. Not an improvement over almost 4 years ago.

Beware to all!! Stay away. At first glance this dog park seems great and normal but be extremely careful and be prepared to pull biting dogs away from yours if you actually let your dog in there. There are countless dangerous dogs with clueless owners and the staff couldn't care less. At first it seemed like they were on top of things but its just a facade. I complained several times to staff about my dog getting attacked by untrained, aggressive dogs and nothing was done about it. Next week, the same dog came back and attacked my dog again. This happened three times. I spoke with the owner and he couldn't control his dog. I was even bitten. The staff claim to have a procedure in place to ban aggressive dogs but that is not true. The final straw occurred when I witnessed a labrador get attacked by five dogs upon entering the park. All the owners froze which was horrifying. I then looked towards the office, and saw the staff person present just stand there watching it go down. My heart would have stopped if that happened to my dog. Overall, not worh the risk.In addition, there is no pond on the little dog side despite the pictures. Some nice lady donated the money to build it, it broke and now the park refuses to fix it. Sad.

This place is a must for any dog owner who travels through northern Florida. You need to understand that you have to sign a responsible dog owner agreement and pay $10 a day to come here. Plus they check your dogs rabies inoculation tag before your dog is admitted.Once inside its dog and owners heaven. All kinds of fogs. Small and large can be separated, grass, astroturf, swimming pools, toys, shade, clean up stations, poop bag stations, water bowls. Plenty of benches and chairs to relax while keeping any eye on your dog.Other owners are friendly. No food allowed in the area. It's kept clean. We'll be back

Best dog park ever! Know that there is a fee, and as someone who had never paid for a dog park I thought it was silly but seriously you've got to see this place. Proceeds go to the Humane Society. They have lots of space, a bunch of chew toys, and there's even a swimming pool for the dogs. To top it off there's 4 or 5 bathing stations to clean your dog as you leave, which is way better than putting all that fur into your drain at home. Separate areas for large & small dogs work out great. We take our dog there, let her play for hours as we sit on the bench then wash her go home clean. Definitely worth price for the annual pass.

Open space where my dog can be free to run and meet friends! Small dog area could use some TLC. And a water feature!

The dog park is the only option on Amelia Island to let your dog run off leash, so it's extremely disappointing that it's so poorly maintained that your dog is at risk for serious illness or infection from the filthy, algae filled pool. While algae itself is not dangerous, an overgrowth of it can harbor harmful bacteria that is dangerous, such as E coli. Swimming in or drinking this water is dangerous for dogs, but the pool is not cordoned off and dogs are swimming in it. Public pools for people would never be allowed to remain open in that condition, but somehow there is no protection for our dogs from the negligence of the humane society for allowing the pool to remain open in that condition. Disgusting, and we pay for the privilege of putting our dogs health at risk. It's now the end of September and the pool is still green, see pictures above. Here is the Humane Societies response to my complaint in reviews on Facebook, they would rather attack the reviewer than maintain the pool. Again, see pictures above.Nassau Humane Society Dog Park Who are you, Gwen Shea? You've never been to the park but you certainly have a lot to say.The pool looks green because algae grows in dirt in water in sun. Probably 75 to 100 dogs and their dirt use the pool every day. The filter is constantly cleaned out - every other day. It is vacuumed almost every day. And the chemical balance of the water is good and in acceptable ranges. That chlorine holder shouldn't be in the pool. I'll give you that. But the dogs do NOT use it as a chew toy. Dogs are not getting sick as you claim. My dog and many others are in the pool every day and they are NOT sick. I don't know who gave you this picture or this information but you have never been to the dog park. If you have, then come to the park office on Wednesday when the park manager is there and identify yourself. Otherwise stop making up your destructive and false stories
