Nassau County Council on Aging

At this center they hold a few art shows a year. It very nice big room...A/C...for our warm weather. The vendors are very creative. Everyone is friendly and customers are interested! Front porch Beads sponsors these shows; a group of ladies make jewelry and donate all the proceeds to charity!

Well a three day two hours per session on Saturdays brought me to this site for an Intro to Pen and Ink drawing class.The representative for the Council was very welcoming and the tables allowed everyone comfortable seating.The teacher was excellent based on her knowledge, teaching techniques, and technical skills.I was able to learn many new techniques and perspectives. There were plenty of supplies available to work with.An added plus was listening to the other students discuss their favorite eateries which I plan to try.One more class to go and I am looking forward, hoping that the class is either extended or offered again.

I am so blessed to have found the Council on Aging. I no longer need to depend on my husband for a ride! The bus is for round trip to anywhere it goes. Tues and Thursday, you can go shopping!!! I can go to Publix,TJ Max, Ross, Ulta, get my hair and nails done and have lunch with a friend all in the same day without inconveniencing anyone! The drivers have all been so nice and Gregg Scott and Linda are very helpful in the office. Keep up the good work!!!
