Nakama Anime Cafe

Great price and quality for fast bar food! I'm always so hungry when i go drinking at the Nakama bar next door and we finally gave it a try! Pretty good! It's pretty good tasting and the price is decent as well!! Kinda warm in there. But it's a cute place to dine in! There is self serve water. At the same table is a variety of condiments. Sriracha, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and etc. The vegetable curry is a good consistency and amount. It's just weirdly sweet? I added all of the condiments i listed above lol and it evened out nicely. Favorite part was the karaage baos. I like slaw. The sauce was tasty and the chicken was nice!

For the price, it was great! Quick good service and yummy food! I loved the karaage chicken buns, the sauce was phenomenal and the chicken had a great crunch to it!! Not as big of a fan of the curry rice. It was overly sweet, in my opinion, but adding soy sauce and siracha helped immensely!

Cool ambiance and decor. Counter service only at lunch was fast and friendly. We got katsu chicken, karagaa chicken and tsunade sushi roll. The sushi was my favorite. The katsu was really good and juicy. The karagaa chicken was much better dipped in wasabi mixture or chili oil and was not dry but could have used more flavor.

Food was DELICIOUS !! but I did wish my onigiri was filled but now I know for next time. The place was empty when I went in so I sat down and watched a few episodes of some random anime lol but it was a fantastic experience and the paintings and funkos and figures were all very cool

We finally had a chance to stop by and try this place out. This is the cafe side where you can order food and next door is the bar and karaoke side where all the fun stuff takes place. We opted to stay at the Cafe side since we're having lunch. All orders are in to-go containers which is a bummer so presentation is out the window. Here's what we ordered:* Chicken Hibachi - meat was pale with no flavor. We like it seared which was lacking. * Pork Curry Bowl - little piece of overcooked meat with soupy curry which I thought was ramen broth. Never seen a clear-looking curry before. * Yakitori Chicken - more pale meat which tasted bland. Not grilled. * Pork Belly Bun - meat was a little tough, but ok. Food was disappointing. For the price they charge, food needs to be better.

First time we went the café part was closed due to them getting a new flooring so we popped into the bar/karaoke area and grabbed a cocktail and Japanese soda. The cocktails were light and refreshing and the bartender was super knowledgeable and polite. We came back Saturday to try the café and were pleasantly surprised. The place was packed and we got the last table. It is a to go style café. Everything is already made to go but made fresh we ordered and then a staff member brought the meal to our table. Kind of like at a Panera everything was hot and flavorful, the fried rice left a little bit to be desired but was decent. The decor is over the top and awesome for any anime lover. Overall, we had a great time.

I had a Chance to Stop in and Try some of the Asian Influenced Bar Food Yesterday and Was very satisfied with not only the Prices But the Portion Sizes as well. The YAKITORI CHICKEN Skewers were a Great Starting Point with a tasty sauce that coated the chicken. $6The KARAAGE CHICKEN Buns were Crunchy and I enjoyed the Aioli was creamy, but I wanted more of it to get the spicy flavor onto the chicken. $7The PORK BELLY FRIED RICE Was simple, but so flavorful with the Pork Belly and perfectly cooked rice. I would order it again & add some chicken next time for extra protein . $10This place should not be compared to your Traditional Ramen or Asian Restaurant because that is not what they are trying to accomplish. Because of the Karaoke Bar Next Door, they want to Compliment that experience with some Bar Foods with Asian Cuisine Elements to stick with the Anime Brand. Although the food is very flavorful and filling, if you stop In, Be sure to Think "Bar Food" but Asian and Not fine dining or full-on Asian Cuisine like other local restaurants, and let Shawn and his staff know that Big Rich Sent Ya.

I wanted to try a new place and my friend told me about this anime cafe/bar that I would love. The wall art is amazing and I love how simple the establishment is laid out. Food is served in one area and you can travel over to another which has a full bar, band and is just a vibe. The service was fast and everything we ate tasted amazing. He ordered a lot of food because he eats a lot and their portions are big at all. It was worth the try and it's really a gem in the OP area.

Great find in Jacksonville for anime and Japanese food lovers in Orange Park. Menu was good, service was excellent. Ambiance was delightful! Both in the bar and the cafe. Beautifully themed eye candy on the walls, Pokémon, Naruto, One Piece, One Punch Man and more! Japanese Gashapon machines with amazing little Sanrio and Pokémon toys!! We had Hunter X Hunter playing on the big screen --What a treat to visit with the kids!

We stopped in here before going to the karaoke bar next door. Robert was our cashier & he helped us out in trying to figure out what to get. Ended up getting the yakitori & pork belly fried rice & it was just the thing we needed. We had a great time between the service, food , & atmosphere. Definitely will be back.
