My Place Bar And Grill

2 good local dive bars in one. The right side is just your typical bar with a wide variety of beers on tap. There's a golden tee game and touch tunes music. I prefer the left side. That bar has live music at night and a good local crowd. I've never tried the food but if this place had dart boards and a pool table it would be perfect.

So let's just caveat this real quick: they allow smoking and it's probably mostly locals. So why five stars:In the age of TouchTunes and rockrocket and the many music apps live musicians are rare. They probably don't make much but to me every chance to hear live music is a unique experience. The bartenders are pretty good and nice, don't get pissed if you are waiting while they talk to someone...it's a dying art. The food is pretty good. I love the sausage sandwiches. Peppers onions good bread. And if you really can't stand the smoking, (I am not judging) go next door same food same bartenders no music no smoke.

Suuuupeer trashy! Omg, I've never been to a place like this. I don't know where to start. There is ALOT of drug use outside & inside. There was a band playing and the lead kept begging people to buy him cheap whiskey. Oh, speaking of Whiskey I ordered Jamison & Ginger and whatever was poured from the Jameson bottle was not Jameson!. I immediately stopped drinking. A lady OBVIOUSLY intoxicated nodded out on my back. It wasn't until I moved my chair forward that the bartender gave her water. It was so many people outside smoking cigarettes it was coming inside. Someone even followed me to my car. I'm going to steer clear of this place

Love visiting My Place! The bartenders are spot on and serve you with verve and enthusiasm. You'll never wait long for a drink served up with a smile. A variety of bands and lots of screens for football, I always enjoy going to My Place. Highly recommend checking it out, it's got a small town dive bar feel with attention to quality customer service.

I'm not a bar person but I was invited along so I went. Then I remembered why I don't go. The place was small and it seemed everyone knew just about everyone, like a friendly neighborhood bar should be. For me, it's not my thing. I should've known that people would be heavily smoking in there and by the next morning I would need to rid myself and my apartment of that smell. The band Fat Cactus was pretty good and played well until closing time. But even so, I would not return as it isn't my kind of place.

Live band ! Stiff drinks ! And oh, don't forget to try the wings. Anytime you want to slip away and just chill....My Place is a nice cozy spot to visit.

This is a great neighborhood gathering spot. The bartender, Stacey, was welcoming and attentive to my drinks. I'll be back- with friends and family.

Just plain RUDE. I invited my deaf friend to go see the Jaguars game and have lunch. I approached the gentleman in charge of the multiple television screens and asked him to turn on closed captioning so my deaf friend could read along with the sportscasters' commentary. To my astonishment, he flatly refused, saying that the other customers would not like it when the closed captions blocked out some of the picture. In recent years, my friend and I have visited countless bars and restaurants in Jacksonville and elsewhere. This was the FIRST AND ONLY time that our request for closed captioning has been denied. Of course we left, and will not return, ever.

Very personable staff, excellent live music venue and overall fun place to be. Offerings of bar food are just right and not limited and the atmosphere is friendly.

Great spot listening to live music. Very local joint and not too shady. Will come back with friends as the staff and bands were awesome.
