Muzzi's Madhouse

Was going out of town for the weekend and was planning on just grabbing some fast food on the drive but when I pulled into the neighborhood I saw that Muzzi's Madhouse was here. I had very heard of them but after looking them up on Yelp I new we had to stop by on our way out of town. I ordered the Italian Beef Sandwich fully dressed with hot peppers and cheese. For my side I upgraded from the house made chips to the Gorgonzola Chips (100% worth it and recommend). The Italian Beef was amazing and loaded with beef. The mun was a little soggy but that's what your going to get with you get a true Chicago style Italian Beef. You want all those delicious juices. Meals are around $10-$11 for a meal unless you upgrade to a premium side. But still pretty well priced. I can't stress it enough get the Gorgonzola Chips they are amazing and some off the best I have ever had. We will return for sure.

Every time this food truck is around, my mom has to order from them. I'm trying to eat healthier so when I saw they had a strawberry and spinach salad, I had to try it! OMG! It was beautiful and delicious!! They did not skimp at all on anything...plenty of strawberries, candied pecans, chicken and spinach. Yum yum yum. Healthy never tasted so good.

Muzzi's is a regular at my office building so I had to try them out. The sweet looking purple truck is hard to miss from the office window. I have tried the meatball sub, the Chicago dog and the fried mozzarella bites. I can't say I'm a fan as I didn't really like the Chicago dog. It is a regular hotdog with Mustard, relish, pepper and diced onions I hate to say it but it was a little bland for me. Maybe I just don't like Chicago dogs. The meatball sub was tasty but. It is just like eating a homemade meal. Cheesy and flavorful. Don't let it sit too long because it might be a little soggy. Sadly this truck falls into my "They're aight" classification.

Tastebud stimulating warning! This truck rocks! Owner is pretty cool as well as his crew! I will for sure visit this truck again!

This truck was serving lunch by our office one day. Not sure if the included container is their version of salsa or what but it was olive oil base, maybe? Still, I thought the sub was pretty tasty. I believe I had the chicken parmesan - tender, juicy and flavorful I think I should have went with their signature sub though. I will for sure next time if they are in the area.

We ordered take out from this food truck. I've lived in Chicago and this was like reliving "The Taste" in Chicago all over again. So yummy!! Fried raviolis and pasta salad were spot on!! Meatball sandwich had a slight sausage taste in case that's something you don't care for. Chicken quesadilla was so good and home made chips are the way to go!

I am all about Muzzi's pasta salad. I love to spice it up by getting a side, or two, of magic and throwing it on top too. If i want something warm or am extra hungry, I will add a side of the fried ravioli. Can you say, YUMMM?!?! It wasn't something I thought I'd be so crazy over, but after trying them, I can't look back. John also has some of the best marinara that I have ever had, so you will want to make sure to order extra.

I had the Homemade Meatball sub for lunch today from Muzzi's Madhouse food truck. For an upgrade sandwich side of $2.50, I paired my sub with their homemade potato chips drizzled with reduced balsamic and gorgonzola cheese. You'll go mad with these chips. So good and hearty! They weren't stingy with their meatballs blanketed in cheese. It's like eating a slice of cheese pizza. Just a little pricey for a $12 lunch without a drink. They should have combo deals. Well at least I'm full and I can now take a nap (--)

The house chips with Gorgonzola and balsamic will make you smack your mama. The perfect balance of flavors. I've actually stalked this truck several times for the chips ... shhhh, don't tell.The Chicago Dog is also a force to be reckoned with!
