Moonlit Snack Bar

I intentionally found this place while I'm the area. I think it came across my explore/recommended places. There was another Flavor I saw on the menu that wasn't available, but I was not disappointed. The service was quick, no line, the wait was only to prepare my items in a box. Obvious the Avondale area is peaceful, but on first Saturdays you can sip and stroll so the area can have lots of foot traffic. Cool little shop, but even with wine from a neighbor shop, I couldn't even finish one. IMO, offer a less icing option and softer cake. It gave me a great presentation, but too much sugar for me. 3/5 for options and cS.

Located on the corner of St. John's Avenue and Dancy Street, inside Sivada's Cupcakery. This area is bustling with local shops and restaurants so it's a great way to spend some time shopping, eating, and ending on a sweet note. Only one small bistro table. I was greeted warmly, and they went straight to pointing out the choices of flavors. I was like a kid in a candy shop! *wipes drool*I got a couple moonies for my kiddos to try. I got chocolate, orange creamsicle, red velvet, banana pudding, cheesecake, and cosmic vanilla. They were pretty big to me, we ended up cutting them in quarters so we could try all the flavors. Just the right consistency, not overly sweet, fluffy and delicious! I will definitely be back to try other treats like cupcakes and brownies.. and of course, coffee!Shout out to the awesome staff for the wonderful hospitality. Thanks, Savannah!

Spent the day with the birthday girl and decided to go in for a landing at an elite event to get lit on some sweet goodies! She was over the moon with the variety of options she was "phased" with. So they decided to partake in every available bite-size option! The Orange creamsicle is out of this world! Oh and the cupcakes are astronomical-definitely a shareable size... but we don't share.Get the crème brûlée cupcake for the birthday girl/boy in your life!

Located inside Sivada's Cupcakery. I'm not a huge sweets person but their moonies are not super sweet. Just the right amount to satisfy your sweet tooth, but not enough to make you feel like it's giving you a cavity. The cake part is delicious and though I dislike using the word "moist" *cringe* (I have issues haha) the outer part of the moonie that sandwiches the delicious cream in the middle is actually very moist and yummy. Had to grab one of each flavor to gift to family members and share this deliciousness. The birthday girl with us was treated to a creme brûlée cupcake from Sivada's as well and says it was amazing. Two sweet spots in one location. Try them!

Tried them out at 904 pop up! Delicious cupcakes that are light and fluffy and have the fluffiest whipped cream! I could've eaten a bunch but I had to be good and just buy the one cosmic cupcake they had. Definitely worth checking out, they also have brownies (s'mores brownies ooooohhhh) and cookies.

I went to the former cupcake factory expecting the same incredible cupcakes I had previously enjoyed. What I did not realize was that it was under new ownership and had a new name, Moonlit. I purchased four cupcakes to surprise my family, but to my surprise the cupcakes fell flat. And even my teenagers, who love just about any cupcake, left theirs uneaten. The icing was tasty but the cake portion was significantly drier than I would have expected. Not what I had hoped for at $4 a cupcake.

Best desserts in Jax- hands down. It's hard to choose a favorite between the moonies and the brownies so I always need a few of everything. If you haven't tried all of the flavors, you're missing out. Great snacks prepared by an even better staff. Highly recommend.
