Moody Community Park

This park was built by Walmart. I worked for the attorney who was trying to get the Walmart approved. The neighbors were very much against it. Said it would bring crime and traffic. (Um no that's car washes and storage units). Anyway, Walmart said they'd donate the back parcel for a park. It turned out pretty nice. The first park was destroyed by angry neighbors or neighbor but Walmart rebuilt. Lots of people use it. Dog walkers, sports teams, exercise clubs, families. It has a pavilion for parties and grills for picnics. Plenty of parking too. And we cannot forget CCSO who frequently keep an eye on what's going on there, just to keep the bad folk away.

When I ask my four-year-old grandson what park he wants to go to he knows this one by name so this is the one we come to very often. There's something in the bright colors of the play equipment that catches a childs eye. The equipment is newer in the park and the place is always very clean There is good parking and lots of space for playing and running and walking.
