Monkey's Uncle Tavern

My go to neighborhood place for great food and cold beer. As many of you have heard by now my favorite place to be is bellied up to the bar. Unfortunately tonight the place was packed and no bar seats to be found. So we found a high top close by. Monkeys Uncle was hosting a Parrot Head gathering with live music. Who doesn't love so Jimmy Buffet on a hot summer night.The service was great. We ordered wings with Monkeys house sauce. So yummy and the Ahi Tuna appetizer. Also delicious.Thanks Monkey's Uncle you never disappoint!

Great specials, amazing service and the game day atmosphere is contagious! We recommend the wings....all flats, bipi style, retossed with the honey siracha sauce! Add a side of onion rings too! Another favorite is the boom boom shrimp! We got them fried and they were delicious The salads are gigantic so plan on splitting it unless that's your meal We love their specials and we often look forward to see what delicious food they'll think of next!

I came here to hear the. Ox Band play, to grab a burger/chips and a few margaritas. I was with a big party. My chair was faced away from the band. So, I could not see the band only hear them. I did like the Venmo app to tip the band with ease. The food and my margarita was very good. The place was packed with people like sardines. So many people. My Waitress NEVER CHECKED BACK WITH ME. I wanted one more drink. No go. I had to practically yell at her to get my check. I paid and left. I had fun, but there was much need for improvement. Pros:good drink and burgerCons-full parking lot, Waitress did not take the time of day to ask if I wanted anything else. She was busy, but not that busy. Place was too full with people. Recommend? Monkeys uncle is a pretty standard bar with decent priced drinks and a fun environment. Typically a busy spot especially on weekends. The food is not bad but the real star of the show is their $5 burger with waffle fries. Hard to beat a burger that's cheaper than McDonald's but tastes so much better.

21 to 91, Monkey's welcomes all. They certainly know how to draw a crowd when it comes to football games & cover bands. Beers might not be the coldest, and sometimes you gotta wait a while to get served, but that being said every time I go to Monkeys I have a great time. Def a group friend hang local casual bar atmosphere. Typical bar food, affordable drinks, relaxed atmosphere. See you soon at Monkey's!

Monkeys is our go-to for good wings and bar food. We are impressed with their consistent quality and flavors of their menu items. I either go to Monkey's or D&LP when I want wings and they never disappoint. Their sauces are flavorful and leave nothing to be desired. I do ask for my wings "extra wet" because sometimes they go light handed with the sauces. If I'm not feeling wings, I'll have a chicken sandwich or wrap and it's always on point as well. The fried chicken sandwich tossed in your favorite wing sauce, made as a wrap, you can't go wrong! I love their waffle fries and homemade chips as well!They have lots of good apps so I definitely recommend trying the loaded chips, fried pickles or onion rings to name a few! A bonus, they also have good ranch!Cons: it can get VERY loud inside so if that bothers you definitely grab an outside table! I have noticed the portions have decreased a little bit. Our fried pickle app looked like a half portion. Still good but seems they've made a few minor cutbacks. Pros: great wings and sauce flavors, perfect place to watch sports/live music, wide variety of menu items, perfect for a quick tasty meal that won't break the bank!

Went to the Jags preseason game u til the half and then headed over to Monkeys Uncle to meet some friends. It's a popular sports bar to watch games and have drinks. As expected on a Saturday night it was crowded. Our server did a nice job overall checking on us and getting us drinks, food, our check, etc. the draft beer was ok but not as cold as it should be. There are lots of televisions and everyone has a good time. There was karaoke as well. We had some Mac and cheese bites and they were really good. They also give you a huge basket full. Everything was going really well until I ordered some wings and fries. Unfortunately, the fries looked and tasted like they had been sitting in the back since lunch, dry and lukewarm. The wings were lukewarm as well and didn't seem fresh. That was too bad because they seemed to be on the crispy side which I like and the buffalo sauce was really good. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and did have a good time. We will go back to listen to some live music and I'll give them another shot at the food to see if it was a bad night.

A little spot to just stop by for drinks or food. Had a band playing so thought it was nice to enjoy.

The customer service was horrible. We did not even get a chance to order because the serve kept telling her patrons that they were in the wrong seats while trying to place a to go order, where there were empty seats. Instead of advising "you may sit here/there while you place/wait for your order." No she just kept saying "you can't there. That sit is taken. You can't put anything here. You can't sit here either." At that point, we hadn't even opened the menu to browse the options they had. So we just left. We won't spend money in an establishment that treats their patrons that way.

I've been coming to monkey's uncle since the 80s so today on Christmas Day I sat down at the bar ordered a drink and told them I want wanted some food was completely ignored. Wow.
