Mom's Park

Beautiful, waterfront park with plenty of room to have a picnic and take some pictures! I photographed an engagement here and it was absolutely stunning.

I frequently visit this part to reflect on my past present and future. I highly recommend to those who seek a little peace and tranquility within the city of Jacksonville.

This an adorable little park located in the Avondale neighborhood that has this one amazing Live Oak tree at its center right along the St. Johns River. The sheer magnificence of this particular Live Oak surrounded by other trees and thoughtfully arranged vegetation is well worth the trip.I attended my girlfriend's Pagan wedding here and the ceremony was so cool because it was outside and performed under this beautiful mosaic filled gazebo located on the property. [Apparently, you can rent the space by the hour for weddings, parties, and other special occasions. At the time of this review, I believe it can be reserved and rented for about $35 per hour with some restrictions.] Overall, Mom's Park is a pretty magical place to visit if you get a chance. And definitely bring your camera to take some photos. It's so pretty!

Small, quaint park that's great for a small wedding service or a photo shoot. Beautiful inspirational says on tiles in and around the little gazebo. It's adjacent to a well traveled street, something to be aware of if planning any of the two events that I mentioned.

Beautiful park that is nicely kept. It's small but there's a beautiful mosaic gazebo and it's right by the river. It's nestled between some beautiful low hanging oaks and there are a few benches. Park on the street and walk over. Very short walk.
