No matter your age, shape or flexibility you can do yoga!I'm so glad I found this yoga studio. It's close to my home, very clean and the instructors are the best. Everyone is very welcoming. They have many different class options and times. They also offer different package options. Don't be scared to try yoga, it's like a deep stretch for your body. Any questions you may have the instructor will answer and no one judges. Everyone is on their own journey. That's what I love about yoga! Namaste.

Traveled to Jacksonville for work and looked on Yelp for a place to do yoga. I ended up here and am so glad that I went! I took advantage of the 30 days for $30 bc it made the most sense. One drop in class is $15. I participated in the gentle yoga, level 1, and level 2 yoga classes. All of them were great!! Brittany was one of my favorites, I went to 2 of her Thursday classes and left feeling relaxed and more knowledgeable. If I ever return to Jacksonville, I will def come back to Mindfulness Motion.

I've been coming for about a year and let's just say I'm not the typical Yogi.. I'm plus size. It's taking me here and I still cancelled a downward dog more than a minute or two but I do come and I do what I can. I primarily come for Molly and Me and yoga when my mind says no Molly makes my body say yes. But I wanted to give up cuz I wasn't seeing progress she has a quiet way checked in. I mean ever be able to do what other jokes do I mean ever Advance out of beginner level classes but it's okay. I was getting steroid shots every 3 months in my back and I don't get them anymore doesn't mean that I've gotten way more flexible just means that I got a little bit better and that's what it's all about the studio can be a little bit noisy with Johnny Rockets next door so I have to put a full disclaimer out but usually when I notice all the noise I'm all out of focus anyway. Namaste

While visiting my sister I decided to take her to a yoga class. I searched for yoga studios on the web. There were several to choose from but I picked out Mindful Motion Yoga for 2 reasons: one, it was a convenient location for my sister, and two, because they had a beginners class on Friday evening, which was when we wanted to go. Our first class was free, always a bonus. Before we went, I called to make sure that the info on the website was up-to-date, and it was. The person on the phone was super friendly and helpful. As it turns out, I had been speaking to the owner, Terri. She's a gracious host and savvy business woman. We took a beginners / relaxation class with Christina and she was great. If I lived in Jacksonville I would definitely return.

I took my first yoga class yesterday here and I can't wait to go back. I took the gentle yoga as my first yoga class and it was just the right fit for a newbie like me. I felt limber but I did not get a hard work out. Slowly building into different levels. The studio is clean and quiet. The other classmates were really friendly. Great location and easy to get to. And they have classes to fit anyone's schedule.

This is my first and only review on YELP. I had zero experience with yoga and I bring up the median age considerably when I go. I started off with a basic yoga class with Terri (proprietor) and have stuck with it. Even though I cannot put weight on my wrist, if she is aware of your limits, she offers alternative positions or suggestions. The atmosphere is so serene and still. She also offers the first class free! In less than two months, I have so much more flexibility, but better than that, when I get stressed (main reason why I started here) I do a couple of shoulder drops and rolls and breathe and I really do feel better!I just hope being out of the country a month doesn't undo what I've achieved. :^(Highly, highly recommend. No judging here at all! to the contrary!

I have purchased the introductory deal - 30 days unlimited for $30 and took level II classes with Terri (I can't speak for other classes). Terri is an amazing teacher with years of experience. You can trust her completely, she isn't a newbie who just finished their 200 hr teacher training in 3 weeks in Costa Rica The word "mindful" in the name of the studio isn't just there because it's another one of the "yoga words". Her classes are probably the most mindful I have done at any studio in Jacksonville, and I have taken classes at quite a few studios. The sequencing is very well thought through, she has a peak pose (usually an advanced pose) in each class and the sequence prior to is specifically preparing your body for it. Really the only class I've taken in a studio where we practiced compass, arm balances besides crow, such as 8 angle pose, epk I and II, other poses you don't get to practice in a run of the mill power yoga studio class. I also really appreciated the fact that we didn't fly through ten billion Sun B like you do in most Baptiste style studios. Highly recommend for anyone, especially if you're looking to grow and advance your practice and are past the whole power yoga work out stage. Don't get me wrong - it was still tough and I sweat quite a bit.

I'm not a huge yogi, but I've consistently taken yoga classes here and there since high school, so I've tried out a lot of studios around Jacksonville over the years and this one is by far the best I've been to. The prices are reasonable, the teachers are welcoming, and the classes do an amazing job of catering to each person's ability and needs allowing you to challenge yourself as much as you want or take it as easy as you need to. The atmosphere promotes a great balance of physical and mental stimulation, which is a rare find. At other studios, I have often found that yoga instructors neglect to explain precisely how to get into a posture correctly, but at Mindful Motion the instructors are great at articulating where you should direct your attention and what you should feel while in a pose. They also give lots of individual attention, helping to make adjustments without making you feel embarrassed for needing help. I bought a 30 day pass for $30 (great deal!) and have gone everyday for the past few weeks. I've seen a huge improvement in my balance, strength, and flexibility just in that time (as well as a decrease in stress and anxiety). Unfortunately, I am only home in Jacksonville for a month before I go back to school, but I'll miss Mindful Motion and I'll be sure to come whenever I'm in town!

Whether it's your first yoga class or you are looking for a studio where you can continue and grow your current practice, I highly recommend Mindful Motion Yoga. I joined this studio earlier this year and my practice has improved, has been challenged, and continues to grow because of the instructors at the Mindful Motion Yoga studio. The Basic classes are fantastic for all levels because of the options the instructors provide and guide you into for each pose depending on the level your current practice is at. My favorite class is the Basic class offered mid week at 5:30, the same class is offered at 7:00. My job can be busy and stressful at times but I make it a point to leave earlier on Wednesdays no matter what I have going on at work to make this class. The Heated Power Yoga class is fantastic also. If you want to be even more challenged and work up a little sweat, this class is for you! I recently began alternating between Basic and Power yoga in the same week and I love it. Check out their website for more details on the classes they offer, scheduling and to learn more about the instructors. The studio provides a clean, spa like atmosphere, mats, blankets, bottled water, and more for each student. From the first day I stepped foot into the studio to this day, I have felt like part of a community of wonderful teachers and students who each hold a desire to continuously improve their practice together.
