It's safe to say we stumbled on this gem in Daytona Beach thanks to Yelp. The dining room was full so we opted for outdoor seating. The night was cool, but my dining companions and I were visiting Florida from points north, so we were perfectly comfortable. We learned that Millie's has a scratch kitchen and features locally sourced options, including fresh-caught fish. I had the catch of the day (which was grouper), ordered blackened at the server's recommendation. The entree came with two sides. The portion was adequate, but not huge. The fish was market priced and something like $38 (in line with pricing for other entrees). The service was knowledgeable, attentive and unhurried. Millie's is tucked away in a small strip mall across from the ocean. The food is so good--it was such a happy surprise to discover it. Highly recommend!

We stayed across the street last year for a few days and wandered in because we didn't was to drive anywhere. Needless to say, we ate here two of the three nights. Fast forward a year later, we're staying an hour and a half south of Daytona beach at Cape Canaveral. We said "heck yeah we're driving up there".This place rates at the top for quality dinning. Every aspect of the evening was perfect. You will not be disappointed.

Called to see if they were open on Labor Day. The server who answered acted like I was bothering him to have called and asked. They hadn't posted anything about being open or closed. After arriving and making our way to our seats, I couldn't help but notice every booth seat was duct taped together. Prices were at a premium, and food quality was mediocre at best. The fish dip was pretty good. It went downhill after that. Very bland, lack of seasoning on the blackened fish of the day. Shrimp and grits were just ok. Lacking in seasoning and the grits were cold. The local artists works on the wall is very cool. That is about where cool ends with this place. We had high hopes for this place, and it fell VERY short. I'm not trying to dump on a local place, and I don't mind paying for quality food and service. There are several places in the area well above the quality of food, service and ambiance of Millie's. It's definitely time to invest in some new booth seats. That's a good place to start.

Found this little hidden gem tucked away in a strip mall on Atlantic Ave. The restaurant was cosy and clean and the food was delicious! Outdoor seating was limited but an option to inside seating. The servers were very attentive and went over the options with recommendations on the menu. Portion sizes were generous and their homemade chips were like no other. Definitely add to one of your stops if your visiting Daytona

this place was recommended by our hotel valet attendant. very low average and for $76 for 2 fish sandwiches with fries and ear of corn... not impressed. Was out of pork ( on 3 menu items) and one of the desserts... no coffee (because machine broke) place was clean but very much needed paint, need to updated bathroom even trashcans was rusty poor condition. service was good and friendly but for the price i could have ate a better lunch with a better view, and something that could actually excite my taste buds.

I came here at a recommendation, but it wasn't anything special. This food was good but just kind of average. Reminds me of the kind of place older people go to on a regular basis because it's consistent. The fish dip was standard, the fish of the day on linguini and lemon butter blanc sauce was good, but just average. I expected delicious, something that I thoroughly enjoyed... instead, I had an average meal and I'm full. I won't be back, but just because there's too many delicious places with great food around. But if you're looking for average food without anything exceptional, then give it a shot.

This is one of the best restaurants (or maybe the best) in Daytona Beach Shores. From the service to the food we had the most amazing experience! We sat at the bar and our server was Sophia. She was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and detail oriented. She explained each we asked about in detail. Also gave us history of the restaurant and noted they were "boat to table!!" Her recommendations were spot on! We started off with the alligator ribs.... boom! A flavor explosion, not to mention the homemade bbq sauce. They do run out quickly so get them early! I had the group and husband had the steak- both absolutely mouth watering. Sides were as good as the entrees (goat cheese potatoes, beets and fried brussel sprouts. I didn't even know they were on DDD! We will be coming here regularly if we can get in!!!!

We had two out of town couples join us for an evening out and dinner at Millie's. Our new "go-to" place!I cannot keep from ordering the Filet & Shrimp Fondue! We shared the very tasty smoked fish dip.Other entrees included shrimp and grits, flounder sandwiches and another filet & shrimp fondue. Everyone enjoyed and commented on how well their meals were prepared and how great the table service was. We will be back soon!

We've been going to Millie's for over 6 years and absolutely love it! The food is always fresh and delicious. The ingredients are locally sourced. Our favorites are the Fish Francaise and the Steak and shrimp fondue, which really is not like a classic fondue, so disregard the name and read the description. It is amazing! The sides are every bit as great as the mains, no matter what you order! The service is excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and the wine and beer selection is well thought out and fairly priced. The ambience is the only bump in the road. It would be a simple inexpensive fix. Recovering the banquettes, and a coat of paint on the walls. Every time I'm here I picture the walls a deep gray-blue with the white wood trim. It could look casually elegant and seem a little more fitting for a place that has $42 entrees. Granted, several menu options are far less expensive, but the very best ones are $42 at this point. But even with the duct taped banquettes and divey interior, we love this restaurant and highly recommend it.

Last night here at the beach and I wanted to get to all the places I had on my list. It was raining (again !!) so I was hoping that I could get in without a reservation. Score !!! First plus !! Everyone at the front of the house was so receptive. Love that they have a tip jar for the kitchen. Those guys work so hard with no appreciation. We need to see more of this because chefs and sous chefs are not paid as much as we think they do. Ok onto the food. Our server (omg I forgot her name but the end of it was Nora from her grandma !!) was so helpful in making decisions. We started with the smoked fish dip and a cup of steak and mushroom soup. Both were AMAZING !! So much so I had to look up a recipe for the soup on Pinterest !! My hubby had scallops and I had grouper for our main dishes. Both were outstanding. Portion was very generous. We ended up taking dessert to go because tropical bread pudding sounded yummy. Not sure if eating it there would have been a better idea but heating it up in our room did not wow us. However this restaurant is definitely worth visiting.
