Miller's Ale House

It had been a very long time since I have been to a Miller's Ale House and I don't get why it took me so long to return. We came in for the Jaguars preseason game and were able to get a table a little after kickoff. I will say that it quickly began to fill up. One seated, we looked over the drink menu. I will say their prices are great compared to, but most places are nowadays. The same they were when I went. I ordered a Bourbon Honey Lemonade that was made with Bulliet Bourbon for $8.5. I was a good price and it was also a very tasty drink. I also got a 23oz blue moon draft that was $5.99. You're lucky to get pints at that price. Of course had to get an appetizer and we went with the 12 piece mozzarella sticks. That came out quickly had a great cheese pull and the marinara was also good. Now, when you're at Miller's Ale House, you kinda have to go for their flagship Zingers but I always took it to the next level and had to get their Zinger Mountain Melt and that's just want I did. I will say it was just as big and good as I remembered being years and years ago. I don't get what has kept me from coming here. But I know I'll be back very soon. For sure the best place for sports if you're looking for a chain bar and restaurant in Jacksonville. For sure the best chain when it comes to food and drinks prices. Once again, great prices on drinks and food tasty food, as well as an amazing spot to watch any sports. See you soon!

Pretty reasonable pricing , iif you play the specials. The server called out the "deals", which I appreciated. Alas, the service was haphazard. We got our food before our beers. And the kitchen delivered food, but walked off without noticing we had no silverware. It's fine, it's just not "together" The ribs were good, but oven, not BBQ. A pretty good roadside dinner at a chain, but unconventional service.

Came for apps and dessert and it took forever. Said they were behind for our dessert but the ice cream was melted so I knew it was sitting. Also were charged for items we did not get but we already wasted almost 1.5 hours....not worth our time. Do better Millers!Update.....I filled out the survey as asked and no response. Don't post like you care for your customer service breakdowns when you absolutely let us down just like the awful service we got.

I can honestly say the last few times I have gone here, both service & food have been not so pleasant. I understand being busy, but when you don't visit your table at all then that's a big problem. Food came out super late & when it did it looked like they emptied an entire bottle of barbecue sauce on the plate & just served it. My sister & I sat close to the bar so we had a clear view of the kitchen which was the hold up. We could see, along with several others clear view of a large bowl of fries that the kitchen just threw on plates as they came out & you could tell because this meal was pretty cold as well once it made its way out. My sister ended up throwing away half of her meal.I'm newly diagnosed with celiac disease so the menu was extremely limited & I have to say I never noticed until now... it's almost IMPOSSIBLE finding menu options. I really wish they made it easier to find some gluten free food options, I don't think I'll be back.

GREAT Grilled Chicken Sandwich ("Chicken BLT")..... but you need to doctor it up!!!! The Cajun ranch sauce is horrible and will ruin the sandwich. The solution, have them keep it off and get it plain, then get and sauce you like on the side (I only get the Honey Mustard - very good!). Lettuce is skimpy so get a double portion. This is the only place in JAX I will go for a grilled chicken sandwich. (Photo is from their website and accurate.)"Zingers" is the name for chicken tenders and they are enjoyable. Good flavor and a huge variety of sauces. They will toss them in the sauce unless you ask for sauce on the side. Overall good sports bar atmosphere (lots of dark wood).

Found hair in my food, no kitchen staff wearing hat or beard cover. Manager did not feel the need to apologize for the issue. Nor did he get his staff to cover themselves correctly.

We recently had a very pleasant surprise. We were running some errands and had to stop by the Avenues Mall. Then, it was a "What do you want for dinner?" back and forth discussion. We decided to grab a quick bite at Ale House and surprise, their special of the day was Prime Rib. We were seated immediately and hand a wonderfully attentive waiter. He was 5 star all the way. Since it was only 5pm the restaurant was a bit quieter than normal. Which was nice when having a conversation over dinner. We both ordered the small cuts of Prime Rib and it was anything but small. It was cooked to perfection with a delicious rub on the outside. Rare to medium rare was exactly what we got and the biggest surprise was they actually had fresh horseradish. Our server continued to check on us to see if we needed refills or anything and while my husband finished his, I was over full eating about half of mine. So I had prime rib salad the next day. This was an amazing dinner and the cost was very reasonable. The price was half of what you pay for other restaurants in town where I've had prime rib. Ale House is good and my husband loves the Big Red sandwiches, but this was outstanding. I'll definitely remember to check their daily specials in the future when I'm in the area.

Service was very nice at the bar and food was hot and delicious also the drinks was not to busy for late night Saturday

When I first visited Miller's Ale House, I was excited that there was a place that had draft beer, a casual back bar which opened to the outside and looked clean. The first time visiting, went well- enjoyed myself. The second visit- I was perturbed by what I observed. The service offered by the bartender was less than appealing. 1) Hot Toddy was served as a shot. 2) The plate, carrying the food was placed on the bar. When we had to request plates, napkins, and cutlery, he brought them, placed the plates down and then picked up the plate, with appetizers, off the bar and placed them on the plate from which we would eat. So now, whatever germs, etc was on the bottom of the appetizer plate, from having been directly on bar, is now on my plate, from which I am to eat. The 3rd vist, my friend ordered food, after at least 1/2 hour, we inquired. It was only then that we were informed that the item ordered, was out of stock. How is this acceptable- I asked him? Is there no communication method? To my surprise the manager came over- we talked. We did not request him to do so, so KUDOS to the bartender for taking ownership in that regard and have the mgr come over. More KUDOS to Deric, the mgr we spoke to for coming over. Ownership! We talked abou the unacceptable nature of our visit, and my other observations- such as staff, including bartender, placing fingers around top rim of glass....the area my mouth goes to when sipping from same glass, touched by fingers, that I have no idea what touched. Latest visit- bad service. Slow. All from the same bartender. The carryout ordered, took almost 45 minutes to appear. Cold at that. At this time, I wonder if now we are targest by that server or the lack of ability to execute permeates that establishment. I know Deric is trying to improve the site. I hope he does.

Had the fried shrimp and it was very tasty. Love having Milkers close by and the service is always great.
