I saw this place on Instagram and it looked awesome. It was advertised as a "glow in the dark mexican bar" Upon walking in, I should have probably turned around. There is one big wall painted in neon paint but it is not "glow" in the dark. The food was honestly some of the worst mexican food I've had. I don't know how refried beans and rice can taste so bad but they did. The guacamole tasted like a straight up smashed avocado with no seasonings or tomatoes & onions in it. The chicken quesadilla was alright, but that is pretty hard to screw up. Chips & salsa, chips were stale and the salsa tasted just like any jar stuff you find at Publix. As soon as we sat down, the owner came over asking us for drinks and appetizer orders. With no drink or food menus to even have a look at. I'm not sure if this place is brand new or what, but I will take the L on the money I lost and eat somewhere else from now on.

Wow! This place is beautiful. The artwork is amazing in all the walls, especially when they turn on the black light everything pops! The margs are delicious and pack a punch. The food is almost too beautiful to eat. Delicious flavors and beautiful marriage of spices. You feel welcomed, taken care of and adored by the staff.

The ambiance was nice and there's plenty of seating here not including the bar. Service was great when we were seated, but once our meals were brought out it went downhill. Drinks were not refilled and it took FOREVER to get the check -- They did not bring out any Verde with the tacos and after 10 minutes of waiting I just ate them. There was another table seated when we arrived but we were the only ones here when it was time for the check. Not sure what's up with the service. The portion was lacking. There could have been more protein on the tacos. The amount billed did not match the menu.

I felt right at home in Mi Casa! Some of the best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico and So California. Delicious!!!! Or - Delicioso!!!!! I've been on a Mexican food hunt for nearly 4 years in Jax. And lately, I've specially aimed my sites on finding the best lengua taco (beef) or Torta Ahogada near me. Mi Casa is by far the BEST lengua taco I have found in this city...Sitting in a humble strip mall off beach Blvd, I found this place today. The tacos had WARM tortillas, soft tender lengua seasoned with delicious seasoning. While I was here, I figured a sopes de pastor was worth a try and it did NOT disappoint! Wonderful toppings, freshly made masa. I'm so pleased! The service was friendly and attentive. The interior was clean with beautiful art on the walls celebrating the Mayan culture. You can tell the food is authentic by the number of Spanish-speaking patrons who also were happily eating here. The price was very reasonable and there were many other options for drinks, food, and dessert that I look forward to trying on my next visit. Thank you thank Mi Casa!!!

My friend and I were driving around the Jax Beach area, and it so happened to be that we were both in the mood for some good food. While in the car, he suggested that we try this new Mexican spot, and I thought, why not! Going in, the restaurant had a nice ambiance, with neat neon painting done on the walls, pleasant spanish music, and decent seating. Today we ordered 1x enchilada suiza, 1x birria beef tacos, and 1x churro cheesecake. Going into my review, I have to give credit where credit is due because everything was excellente! For starters, both entrees offered great portions for your buck. You can tell the enchiladas were made with fresh corn tortillas, stuffed with plenty and tasty shredded chicken, and topped with a delicious green poblano cilantro herbed sauce! The rice and beans that came with it, didn't disappoint either as the rice was nice and fluffy, and the beans has a smooth texture. As for the birria beef, these also were filled nicely, had tender shredded beef, and a flavorful consumè to dip with them! They do have an in-house hot salsa you can request that's awesome with any of the main dishes! Moreover, the churro cheesecake had a nice contrast between the crispy churro exterior and creamy cheesecake filling - what a treat! As for service, our server (who I believe was the owner), was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful with tips on ordering from the menu. Overall, the food and service was great, and this is one of my new favorite Mexican spots in Jax now, final review is a 5/5!

First impression: Vibrant painting on walls is so cute, makes for a fun atmosphere. My menu had what looked like salsa on it. Service: We sat ourselves. The waitress approached the table immediately. I asked for recommendations twice with no response, she seemed in a rush even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Food: I got the flautas. They were a little skimpy on the meat but okay. My lunch buddy enjoyed his tamale...I thought they should've had more filling.I would come back for taco Tuesday or HH so I can try their drinks and other items on the menu.

My fiancé and I stopped here for an early lunch for tacos. They were really delicious, he got 4 tacos de al pastor and i got 3 tacos de asada. We also got two different types of salsa, one spicy and one mild. We ended up getting dessert too - the Chimi Cheesecake, which was absolutely amazing! The tacos were cooked great, not too chewy but they had great texture, only wish they had spicier salsa but the place was great nonetheless. Our server was really friendly and we even met the owner! We will definitely be coming back!
