Mi Carnal Restaurant

Stopped here on our way through from North Carolina, and it was absolutely delicious! Do yourself a favor and order the El Salvadoran tamale, pupusas and absolutely anything with the campechano meat in it. The owner was fabulous!!Highly recommend!!

Wow! A hidden gem that I am so glad I found! I loved the warm salsa-it was such an interesting yet delicious take! The tortillas were definitely homemade and so much better than your typical store bought tortilla! I just got queso with chorizo and it was so good! I loved this style of queso and how thick it was! The owner running it was so attentive and kind! And even though it was a small more quick service style restaurant-it was perfect for a quick bite! Food came out so fast and well made! Can't wait to go back!! :)

Nice little spot, food was good, and service was great! Prices were okay, a little high. I ordered a steak fajitas with rice & beans. A side order of sweet plantains, with a side of cream,.and three bean and cheese pupusas. Plus two drinks. Total was $42.00. A littld high .

Just okay. I feel like I get a lot more value for about the same price at the Mexican cantina just down the road. Plus, free chips and salsa and unlimited refills on drinks at that other place. A lot more options to choose from there as well. So for value/price, that's part of where the 3 stars come in. Service was great however. Very friendly and welcoming. The interior decor is lacking, but that has never bothered me anywhere I go as long as the place is clean, which this place was, so good job there. My husband really enjoyed his burrito, said it was tasty. My street tacos were barely okay. The steak meat in them was very tough and overcooked/ hard. Thats the other reason for 3 stars.

The Bean and Cheese Pupusa are best I have had! The salsa and chips are homemade and very tasty. Very authentic latin food and service is great!

Yep my fellow Yelpers are 100% correct - this is a 5. Definitely worth a try. Started today with thinking about how good a bowl of chicken tortilla soup would taste - I remember reading about Mi Carnal while I was getting food from China One the restaurant right next door. Always remember seeing people going into Mi Carnal and thought some day I need to try it - so today we did. Arrived around 3 - so well after lunch and before dinner - not very busy. First impression- the place is really clean. The owner Oscar greeted us and helped us order. We know we wanted the chicken tortilla soup. Also read where most people love Their pupusas. Oscar asked if we like pork - we do and opted for their chicharon (pork) rather than cheese or cheese and bean. Bought a couple of beers - picked a table near the window and waited for our order. Everything arrived nice and hot. So tasty. Lots of food. Excellent. You will love this place.

Chile relleno- the pepper was not roasted before it was dipped and fried, so it was tough. The amount of cheese in it was abundant. The ranchera sauce on top was good but not enough. I wish he had put on it. Overall, it's the closest to authentic I've tasted in this area yet. Refried black beans - yummyRice- okaySpicy red salsa - fire I want to give them 4 stars, but I can't get over the way the Chile was under treated.

A little hole in the wall spot. Owner greeted us with a smile, gave us food recommendations and despite working the front desk and being our waiter was very attentive. I got the chicken tacos and they were the juicest ones I've ever had in a good way. Each bite was filled with flavor. The papusos are also good but I enjoyed the tacos a little bit more.

Just like home! Best burrito in area and extremely well priced. Will only eat here. Top notch service. Don't let basic decor fool you. There's a reason most customers don't speak English here. Authentic!!!

could possibly be the best authentic mexican food in town. maybe the county. could be the state. staff is so welcoming and personable and the food is just perfect
