I've been here a few times. I decided to go here for Oktoberfest one year, and it was awesome. I decided to get food from one of the vendors there. The food was really good. The atmosphere was awesome even though it was very warm that day. Bathrooms were clean as well. Parking was limited, and it took me a couple of minutes to find parking as well. I highly suggest they have Oktoberfest this year at this location.

This park sure has come around over the last few years. It used to be fairly basic but they've continued to work on it and make it nicer and at this point it's really great venue The bowl area has a slope and if it's not too crowded you can spread a blanket to listen to the music if you want. They roll and a bunch of food trucks for most events that circled the area and they have added a ton of portable toilets to the standing building toilets although it would be nice if they put some air conditioning in those concrete block bathrooms at least they are cleanEvery show that I have been to has had a great Sam system and the facility stays very clean there is no trash lying aboutYou can walk down along the water, there's pavilions, this is turned into a great location

I attended the Caribbean Festival this summer at Metropolitan Park. This was the second festival I've attended at this location and it is a large and beautiful park on the St. Johns River. This was a smaller festival than the first one I attended and only took up a portion of the park. The first festival I attended a few years ago, the International Festival, was huge and I did walk the entire park at that event.Parking was nice and easy across the street at the Jags Stadium. And I was pleasantly surprised that there was no parking fee for the Caribbean Festival as we had paid to park for the International Festival! The bathrooms were clean and offered toilet paper which is always a plus. When you want to get away from the crowd you can take a stroll by the river. The view is magnificent!

Metropolitan Park is now used for all kinds of venues! Today is The Greenscape Tree Festival. They are giving away a variety of N. Fl trees up to 15'! Then they have all kind of educational booths with facts on invasive plants and such. They have natural art vendors, honey, food artists, flowers for sale and food trucks. Music on the river is great too! Good way to us this park on the river!

I don't have any complaints whenever I go to events at Metro Park. They have the World of Nations event here, Jazz Fest every year and many other festivals & gatherings for the Jacksonville community. I have to say they have been pretty organized every time I've gone with little hassle from staff and parking patrol.Located right on the water, it is a gorgeous park to stroll along the St. Johns while usually enjoying the nice weather and downtown views. Many photo opportunities and ample room for vendors and food trucks. There's also plenty of tree coverage for those hot Florida days when you may need to seek some shade with a small, bubbling creek located along the river walk.Overall, it's a pleasure to come here for events and the organizers for events make it very easy for anyone who's going to visit Metropolitan Park. Parking is usually very efficient and sometimes free or only a minimal amount required for covered parking under the freeway.

Great venue! I can't believe I have lived in Jacksonville almost two years and been to Everbank Stadium and had never been to Metro Park. It is such a lovely place for a festival of any kind. I was out riding a bicycle through beautiful downtown Jacksonville when I came across The Natural Life Festival and Metro Park. The amphitheatre is set up with a rolling grassy knoll for spectators. Vendors of food and crafts have ample space to set up their wares in non invasive and easily accessible areas surrounding the center attraction. Then there is the gorgeous St. Johns River waterfront running along the southeastern side of the Park. Love it!

Going here last night was the first time I had been back since Warped Tour 2006, I believe. It was nice to go back for the Big Ticket and see some bands I listened to back then (Weezer and Fallout Boy). There was ample parking around Metro Park, which was awesome. I parked right across the street, and since we came around 815pm it clear and of traffic (enough to watch Weezer play some great songs!!!). The park was nice and spacious and since the stage is up high, you could practically stand anywhere and have a good view. It was nice to walk around and see everything. Great venue for a concert!
