In St. Augustine, where the charm's on display,Meehan's Irish Pub brightens the day! With seafood delights and a cozy embrace,We found our new favorite, a magical place. Oh, Mechelle, our server, so friendly and spry,With a smile that could light up the evening sky.Her recommendations were simply divine,Each dish that she brought was a taste so fine! The key lime pie, oh what a sweet treat,The best we have had, it can't be beat! With a zesty zing and a crust that's just right,We savored each bite, pure bliss in the night. What a charming spot, where happiness thrives,We're sure to return, where the fun comes alive!Next time we visit, we'll request Mechelle,For an evening of joy, we know so well!

Wellllllll what can I say and justify my star rating (which was difficult). So the big elephant in the room is the service. Our waitress when engaged was warm and pleasent but it took close to 40 minutes to get drinks and service started. I get they were busy when we arrived but 3 servers sailed by with nary a smile let alone a service.THe food was amazing though.. I have never had Turkey meatloaf and while not expecting amazing food I have to say it was the best meatloaf I have eaten.. (I have eaten lots)... My wifes Fish was well done, the kids burgers served piping hot and well seasoned. I would probably go back but Meehan's please lets sort out the service levels.. Ohhh BTW the high top seats are uncomfortable when we have to sit and wait a long time..

My husband, daughter, and I tried out this AMAZING restaurant for the first time yesterday. My daughter and I now have a new favorite restaurant! Definitely sit upstairs if you can. They even have outside if it isn't a million degrees outside. Atmosphere was great. We did have to wait a little bit for a table. There is a bar upstairs and downstairs you can wait at. Our only complaint would be our waiter. He seemed to take care of the table next to us, who was seated after ours, even taking their order first and filling their drinks without caring about us. It seemed to us that he sized us up for not having a lot of money, therefore we were a waste of his time. Food on the other hand, was worth the wait. My daughter and I got mussel and clam dishes with linguine and my husband got a French dip. All was amazing and delicious! Keep in mind there isn't a parking around the restaurant, therefore you'll have to find either a paid parking lot or the parking garage. But if you're staying at any one of the B&B's in historic district, it's walking distance.Check out Unique Finds of Florida Facebook group where this restaurant was featured!

We had Meehan's on our list for dinner, but they don't take reservations and it is a busy time (Nights of Lights). After visiting the fort, we walked along the street by the river and noticed we were right there, so we ducked in for a late bite of lunch. The hostess mentioned that they were busy & understaffed. She gave us a nice booth. We ordered two cups of the Irish Claim Chowder and two Smithwick beers. The soup came out relatively quickly, and the server said she would bring the beer out, but it did not come. Finally, when our soup was gone, we got the beer. So we lingered and enjoyed it. So they are probably doing their best at a busy time of year.

My boyfriend and I decided to get lunch here since it was walking distance from our hotel. It took a bit to have our orders taken but once it had, food came out shortly. Between the two of us, we split a burger and garlic wings. The wings were some of the best garlic wings I ever had; though they were a bit messy.

Don't waste your time here and head to the opposite side of the hall to their outdoor area called Backyard Island. They serve the same beer and food as inside. Wait time is much faster and you get better service in a nicer atmosphere. Inside the pub smells like wet towels and it's way too crowded in there. Hot too. Unisex restrooms are a cry for help. The bartenders at Backyard Island are friendlier and don't rush your orders.

The server told me about the dinner special and the. Told me never mind they were only doing a late night menu with 5-6 items on it. I got the chicken club. It came with one strip of bacon and hot shredded lettuce. They put rosemary in the chicken which burned and tasted nasty bitter and astringent. The waiter dropped the food and I asked for some mayo. Took him 10 minutes to bring the mayo and by then the sandwich was a soggy sloppy mess. The bottom bun was soaked in Chicken juice and fell apart. The food was disgusting and the service was almost as bad. The guy was running around frantic and kept apologizing but the place was not that busy. I would. It recommend this place unless you just wanted to get drunk and talk very loudly. It was very rowdy there and I heard them screaming saying they had left without paying. There has to be many better places to go in town besides this place

Great pub, but more of a college bar than anything, from what I saw and experienced at least.I loved everything about this place except the obnoxious college kids running about loud and rambunctious. I miss being one of them tbh. haha! It's a super cool bar inside and out and the outside patios in the front have great water views plus their back patio is open and spacious. We had a beer and a mixed drink and they were both great.I got and IPA which was great and my girlfriend got the Key West Lemonade and it too was great. There isn't much to not like about this place. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is lovely, the food looked amazing, the drinks are plentiful, but the times we went it was a little overcrowded for my personal taste. Needless to say I'll be back again.Sláinte!

Nestled right on the waterfront in the historic city of St. Augustine, this Irish pub is a gemDespite arriving late, we were delighted to find that the late-night menu offered some fantastic options. We opted for the French dip sandwich, and it was absolutely fantastic rich, flavorful, and satisfying. Pairing it with some great draft beers, we couldn't have asked for a better way to end our evening. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a cozy waterfront setting makes this Irish pub a must visit spot in St. Augustine. We can't wait to return and try more of their menu!

Probably some of the worst food I've had in a while. Unfortunately the salad was terrible and honestly inedible. Our burger we ordered with the salad was forgot about then brought out 45 mins later, as we were about to get the check.
