Mavi Waterfront Bar & Grill

Had a good time there. Friends band was playing. Love the location right on the intercoastal under the bridge heading to the beaches. Service was good and our waitress did a great job with keeping us in drinks and food. Number of appetizers for us. Peel and eat shrimp, calamari rings and the beer battered pretzel. The pretzel was the strangest but it was good. Will be back. Try more things on the menu.

Outside patio is nice with a live band playing music. We had (2) Grey Goose Cucumber Cooler drink that were refreshing and tasty. A Dirty martini which was okay. The mussels that I enjoyed. Fry shrimp Octopus for appetizers! Which I had to send back, lacking in flavor. It was too rubbery and not eatable. Overall not a bad experience. Service was a little slow

Stopped in after a long day on the water and had dinner and drinks with some friends. Had an incredible view from our table of the Harbor and enjoyed watching boats go in and out. There was 5 of us at our table and 3 of us ordered the fish-and-chips entree. The 3 long pieces of Cod were fresh and it was battered well and very tasty. It came with a large side of French fries and fresh coleslaw. I would definitely order this again.Place has a great vibe and many dining seating options that offer incredible views inside and out. They often offer musical events during the weekend.

Those that know me know it's really hard for me to write a bad review but.. sometimes it's just gotta be done.We were a party of 12. Pretty big but I had a conversation 3 weeks prior and advised the front door hostess of the date, time and name of the party. The hostess wrote everything down. For some reason today I decided to swing back by and confirm our reservation only to be advised that don't take reservations and they had added music to Thursday night. Humm.. you don't want to know when a party of 12 is coming in? We started arriving around 5:45 and were advised that until half the party had arrived we would not get a seat. So myself and my son bellied up to the bar. Finally the bartender who was cutting his fruit during full service saw us. 1 Corona and 1 Bluemoon. Bill was presented and it was $26.00. Excuse me you charged me $20.00 for a Corona. An act of God to get it corrected. Finally enough members of our party arrived that we were taken to our table. Bench seating on one side and chairs on the other. But, but , but there was a private party going on in an event space steps away. Kids were running the bench and it was loud and confusing. Finally a waitress arrived. Edine she was rude and surely. We decided to order appetizers for the table while waiting for our friends and those just joining order drinks. Appetizers came out wrong and the runner who was placing them could not understand English. Still no drinks.Off to find a manager only to be told there was not one but he would get head waitress. She promised the moon but still no sweet tea or water refills. Edine after a long disappearance presented herself again took more drink orders. Twenty minutes later no drinks off to find the "head waitress" ( host title nit mine). Incredible again 30 minutes for a drink. We were advised she would get us another waitress. That never happened. We finally ordered food and it did come out correctly. Happy the back of the house can read tickets. Meanwhile we sat with empty glasses and an a scent Edine. The food was adequate but nothing outstanding. The night ended with the tabs that were sourced 2x2. It took forever to receive and pay.What a s!.t show. Mavi you failed. Shame on you! No manager on duty. Terribly trained staff with an attitude. $20 Corona Beers, bartenders with an attitude. Placing a large group by a large event close to children that were not being watched. You deserve this review. We are great patrons and tonight I am sure help make your nightly income. Never ever again. Our group of 12 that meets monthly only patronizes local businesses. You have failed!

Service was top notch, friendly and great customer service. While we were seated and waiting for our food, our food server and manager move my group closer to the patio so we could see the beautiful sunset. Thank you so much for that. Food was great from appetizer (calamari) to our main course, I had stuff flounder, my wife had fish and chips, daughter have shrimp scampi and they were all delicious.Highly recommend place, need to come back and try their dessert.

Went for lunch while in town. HUGE blackened mahi sandwich with soft buns. They switched up the fried for hash browns from their brunch menu. Had a spicy Bloody Mary and sweet white sangria while overlooking the marina.They'd just opened so the dining room was a little chilly, temp dropped over night and the room heated up quickly. Otherwise a solid lunch spot

We just had the worst dining experience here. We had a 6pm reservation for 8, we ordered drinks, and appetizers. The calamari was greasy and rubbery. The mozzarella was mediocre at best. Our food took an unreasonable amount of time to recieve, approx 1.5 hours after we ordered. We had a 2 year old with us that was far past hungry. After waiting an hour for our food I asked them to bring something (anything) out for the 2 year old. Our waitress said she would bring food for him right out. It took them another 30 min. to get the 2 years olds food. Tables that were seated after us, were recieving their food before us. When we finally recieved our food we ran into even more problems. Burgers were nothing to rave about. Salmon was way over cooked, we sent it back, they did it again, and it was still overcooked. The shrimp scampi came luke warm. The waitress said she was going to give us a big discount. We recieved our bill and they only took of $24 from a $266 bill. We asked for speak to a manager to which our server responded and said that was all she could do, she was the manager. We asked to speak to someone else, that was when the owner approached us and said "I don't care, make them pay!" in the rudest tone I've ever recieved from a customer service person. I expressed that this was the worst dining experience I have ever experience and he gave me a thumbs up.

By far the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. We had a reservation for 6pm. When we arrived there were only a couple of tables seated. We ordered drinks and apps. Apps took about 30 min to come out. There were only a couple more tables sat. We ordered our food and then tables started filling in. At 7:30 the server came to our table and said our food would be up shortly. We had a hangry toddler and asked if they could just bring out something for him. 30 min later they brought out the kids dinner cold. At this point several other tables that arrived after we placed our order had already received their food. Finally we received our food all of which was lukewarm and overcooked. The server apologized and said she would put a great discount on there for the inconvenience. She added a 10% discount to the tab which we were not entirely satisfied with we asked to speak to a manager to resolve. Normally we are not ones to complain. The owner of the restaurant came up to us and told the server in front of us "No, I don't care just make them pay" and stormed off not acknowledging us. Not sure how you can manage to run a business with that kind of attitude towards customers. Absolute worst experience ever.

Mavi thinks that they can delete comments that hurts their feelings. Unfortunately I don't care. So here it is again. And it looks like the health inspector caught on as well. I Should have left when we saw the nasty plug in a/c units. The calamari tasted like rubber we should have known better from the other reviews. The peel and eat shrimp arnt even from Mayport.. they are frozen gulf shrimp. The Crab cakes were a joke, you can not tell me that they were even 25% crab. How cheap does an owner need to be to cut this many corners. I'm truly embarrassed for the staff and the fact that our waitress had to answer our questions. We definitely won't be back for over priced dog food although I don't even think I'd fed my dog this; he'd probably gag. And how about the dirty dish carts they leave out in the open around tables and by the soda machine and in the hot sun... ew. The short, fat, bald, manager with a red beard and Napoleon complex was terrible. We asked for a refund on some of our inedible food that we didn't touch and we might as well have been talking to a wall. This place used to be an awesome spot with a great view but it seems like the owners or whoever is in charge is driving this place down the drain. This place has so much potential what a shame... Eat here at your own risk. The health dept needs to take a good look at this joke of a restaurant because something smells at this restaurant and it's probably more than the Troy's armpits.

The Navi burger could not have been beef! It didn't look like beef! Didn't taste like beef! Didn't smell like beef!The beer was warm . Tables dirty, as in the napkin rubbed on the table was blackened. Wouldn't waste money here ever again!
