Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls

Finally came to this long and awaited Mason's location and can't say enough good things about it. First and foremost service was above average for a casual grab and go style/sit down restaurant it puts sit down dining chains to shame. Employees were very nice and when I said table service was great...it was. Nicely plated lobster rolls with napkins and extra toppings on the side neatly put on my tray.Now food quality was better than I expected I got the Connecticut and Lobster Salad roll and Clam chowder soup.....it's true you get what you paid for. So here is to hoping this location keeps the cleanliness, employee professionalism and food quality going!Highly recommended for casual, family/friends eat outing and especially the kids. Remember you're paying for lobster not burgers so price is what seafood is going for!

I was craving a lobster roll one night when I remembered Mason's opened up around the corner from us! That's to a previous Yelp event I knew how great their lobster rolls are. I was very happy to find out the quality is consistent across their locations. I, per usual, I got the Maine Lobster roll and it had a fair amount of lobster as well as buttery bread. We also ordered the mac and cheese just regular mac and cheese no lobster, it was good. The online ordering and pick up process was very easy, the food was ready right on time. I can absolutely see this being in our regular rotation, especially in the summer months!

We went heard we were getting a Mason Famous Lobster Rolls within walking distance from the house we were extremely excited because we love our Lobster Rolls and was don't have also of locations near us offering them. We ordered online and they have a number of different rolls available but it was my first time so had to go with the Classic Lobster Roll but upgraded to the Bar Harbor. This roll comes with 50% more lobster meat and for $6 more I figured I'd give it a try. Yes Lobster Rolls are pricey starting at $22 here but moving up to $28 was worth it from me. We ordered and our rolls were ready in 10 minutes. I will say the Bar Harbor for sure had a lot of meat on it. They for sure add a full lobster tail to the top of it so that's worth it to me. We also wanted to get some Mac & Cheese but didn't feel the need to order Lobster Mac for $19 so we just ordered the kids Mac & Cheese which is $7 and plenty. For 3 people our total did end up being over $100 but everything was good and for sure will be back. I even got a text for a free soup next time we visit so now we gotta go back.

I would give this zero starts bc the food was gross... the lobster roll had not flavor & was small. & the clam chowder and lobster bisque were straight water & had no flavor. The lobster bisque had to lobster in it. We called the restaurant & they said the soup is just fake soup powder they get from a manufacturer & they empty in water. They said they have no control over how the soup comes out bc it's not handmade. Just go to a real food restaurant with real cooks because this was disgusting.

I waited so long for this place toOpen. I had the Connecticut Lobster Roll and Lobster Bisque Soup. My son had the same but with potatoes. The taste is good but very stingy on their lobster and potatoes. The lobster is shredded or pulled with no chunks and the serving is only half way inside the roll. I did bring it to the attention to one of the owners and it was redone but with the same amount. The potatoes were stingy too. With the price you are paying one should get way more. Like double more. Sadly I won't be back but go to St Augustine when I want a real lobster roll.

Lobster roll was very good, not a lot of lobster though for the price. The tater tots were so soggy in oil, I have to throw them out. There wasn't much of them either, especially for the price. Please fix the tots...they should be light and crispy, not heavy and soggy.

I got the Connecticut which is their warm roll. It was pretty good. I wish there was some butter to dip it in as it was a bit bland. Once I found the Old Bay seasoning on the table it added some flavor. They ran out of Lobster bisque so I ordered the clam chowder but it was just ok as well. I agree with the other reviewer that it's a bit overpriced. I took away 1 star because all of the tables were dirty with food bits, greasyand it wasn't busy. We were the only ones in line. Clean tables is definitely not a priority for them as they were just standing at the counter registers chatting. 3 workers and the manager. By the time we left, all tables were empty except us and still no one cleaning them. Hopefully, they get better with customer experience.

I had the lobster salad meal with clam chowder as my side. Portions were good and the chowder was very tasty. I received my order in a timely way and was pleased with the roll. The ambiance had a little to be desired and didn't seem to take on that of the price point. Ordering was take-out like furthering the fast food posture. Overall good experience but a tad pricey.

Pros: Food was good but not plentiful for that price. Cons: Not a smile from anyone working there. When I come in I expect to be greeted. It had all the ambiance of a McDonalds. Not enough tables. For those prices I want a booth. Music was low and awful.

Amazing! Is Maine Lobster expensive? Yes, but it is worth every penny. Mason's knows how to serve amazing Maine lobster. My wife and I each had a Connecticut Roll combo with loster bisque. The lobster was delicious, warm and on a buttery toasted roll. The lobster bisque was creamy and delicious and served with oyster crackers. It could not have tasted better.
