Yuca: The seasoning and little bit of meat on top was perfect. I want to say I wish it was just a tad softer, but I'm not too experienced with yuca, so I'm not sure what the average texture would be at. Chicken fricasse bowl: I'm glad I got this with the onions and cilantro as well. In fact, for my taste buds, I wish I had more of both. The sauce on the chicken is nice. I actually wish this was even wetter because the beans are pretty strong; some salsa or sour cream would be excellent. Cuban: It's solid, but I've had quite a few Cuban sandwiches in town now. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about this one. Slushee: ........okay, this sounds bad, but the Miami Vice slushee stood out the most to me. It was too hot (what am I saying? It's too hot every day in this state. God, I want to move back somewhere with actual seasons). *ahem* Like, the consistency of the ice was so perfect. And the huge straw allows you to drink it without any logistics. And it's sweet, but has this subtle aftertaste that prevents it from being too sweet. My dear reader, you deserve a slushee.

This food truck was in my area so I decided to check em out. Nice clean truck with simple, easy to order menu. I ordered the following:Pulled Pork Bowl (5/5): Tasty, authentic, flavorful. This is a must get if you ever want to try an item on their menu.Cuban Sandwich (3/5): While I've had and tried many Cuban Sandwiches, this one did not do it for me. It was just average in my opinion.Sweet Baked Plantains (5/5): The word "baked" definitely drew my attention to try this side. Additionally I really love Sweet Plantains, but most of them are fried. Those extra calories from frying really goes straight to my hips, so being baked is a nice alternative healthy option. Not a bad experience overall. Will try again whenever they are in the area.#SupportLocal

Stopped in to Gastro Fest today and Cuban sandwiches are literally one of my most favorites things and living in St. Louis I have to hope and trust that they learned from someone regionally and brought their gifts to St. Louis. We DO have some excellent Cuban sandwiches in St. Louis. Given it's one of my favorites, I did a considerable amount of research on the history of the sandwich and what a REAL one as opposed to an Americanized version etc. This is the real deal. So delicious. Perfectly cooked ham and pork, melted cheese, but the thing that sets it apart is that the bread is legit. Every other Cuban that I have had that claims to be a Cuban has profoundly lost points, so to speak, for having bread that isn't true to a Cuban sandwich. It was so good. Just... so good. I would have gone heavier on the mustard, personally, but that's because I LOVE yellow mustard but I know you have to meet the wants of the masses. Haha.I had the Yuca "all the way" with pork and a mayo sauce and it was garlicky and delicious. There were some chunks that were significantly undercooked that I couldn't eat but the other half was delicious. I was really really pleased with the experience. They were slammed with a long line, and rightfully so. Happy to have chosen Manny's at Gastro Fest during my weekend trip to JAX from STL. It was delicious and by and large.

Some of the nicest folks in the world own and operate Manny's Cuban Food Truck. I mean, they can serve slop on a mop and I'd still eat it. That's how pleasant my experience with Manny's is every time I track them down! Now, let's talk turkey. In this case, a Cuban sammy and rice & beans. First off, these portions are made for a mountain man. The bread on the Cuban is very sweet, almost too sweet for my taste. But the other characters build up this Cuban to a very decadent sandwich. Yum!Their "side" of rice and beans is more of a bucket-sized amount. These are delicious indeed. Extremely satisfying to the tongue, while containing all the components I look for in rice and beans. Don't skip on the Cuban coffee either! It's served in a small plastic cup, so if you're taking it to go you're in for a fun ride. Regardless, it's sweet and delicious! Support your local food trucks, gang!

First-time ordering. Pretty good overall. Our son's vegan order didn't have any yucca but did have a whole lot of plantains, which, while tasty, was a little too much, and he didn't finish them. I ordered the pork bowl, very tasty and filling. Hubby got the family platter, which was just enough for him (and he is not a sumo wrestler). He always complains about food truck portions. We split the kid's Cuban sandwich. Small but good.Tasty food and will give it a try again when back in our neighborhood. Ordering was easy and ready on time.

OMG I wolfed down that supremely "delish" Cuban sandwich pressed perfectly on soft sweet bread with the most tender pork slices with the perfect pickle garnish & mustard! The rice and beans were just as delish and the wolfing down evolution slightly slowed only by my pace to spoon each delicious bite (alternating between the Cuban sandwich bites of course)!!I almost forgot to mention that CM Matt's forewarning about the Cafe Con Leche was uncannily "on the mark"-- so delicious that I began drinking it (on this hot summer day mind you) as soon as I got my goodies from Manny and almost finished the Cafe Con Leche before I sat down to eat my meal! Man I love Cuban Coffee (Cafe Bustelo) and it's is so AWESOME to get that real deal strong Cuban coffee made with love from Mannys!Again, I timed my Food Truck arrival perfectly today at 1230pm right after the first wave and then immediately before the second wave of customers! No wait, no line and I was able to take lots of photos and more importantly chat with Manny kidding with him that it was so hard to decide with so many great menu choices (Manny of course said, "then that's good because we will see you again!). Love that Manny pronounces my name Rrr YELL!! This is the "Rico Sauve" pronunciation that is appropriately spoken in Latin America and my native Philippines!!Manny and his wife Yvonne are certainly genuinely the nicest and supremely good people -- this goodness reflects in the love they put into their SUPER DELICIOUS food as well as their wonderful interactions with their customers!Consider me a Manny Cuban Food Truck Fan! Manny's is added to my "hit parade" rotation and I am looking forward to my next visit (which may be the JAX Beach Freedom Fest this weekend)!!

Cuban wasn't that great . The meat wasn't hot, it was a whole lot of bread and some of the bread was soggy. The Picadillo was really good as were the rice and beans . But the Cuban needs some work .

Had the pulled pork platter...its legit, so legit that it dissapeared before I even thought about taking a pic. The food is authentic and the coffee (cortadito) will keep you awake for days, or at least long enough to make it through your noon meeting. Pork is well marinated, moist with a light peppery kick. Black beans and rice are on point, soft with a hint of garlic but nothing too overpowering, I recommend using the apple cider for a small flavor boost.

Nice food truck. I love that it's up at the town center. Not too many Cuban restaurants around here but nice that there's a food truck.
