Mambos Cuban Cafe

Mambos Cuban Cafe is always amazing. The food is great, owners and staff are friendly and welcome you every time. The restaurant is SPOTLESS. We go often and don't take the time to write reviews. Anabel (our waiter) was so personable, accommodating and served us with a big smile. She asked us to give a review. How could I resist. If you haven't gone to Mambos Cuban Cafe, try it. After that, you will be a steady customer.

We had an awesome lunch here! Came here with some family when we were craving good Cuban food. The proximity to the Mayo Clinic is super convenient as well. We started out with some croquetas as an appetizer. These were really yummy, even without the sauce they came with, although the sauce was good too. For our lunch entrées, my brother and I took the waitress's recommendations. I got the croqueta preparada sandwich, which is a Cuban sandwich with croquetas in it too. I really enjoyed it, and the portion was very generous. I could've finished it if I was extra hungry, but the sandwich really could feed two people. I got yuca on the side, and I thought it was a little dry, but still good. My brother got the pollo de oro. It was really tasty, but the chicken portion was a little skimpy, especially compared to the portions of the sides they gave, and the portions of the sandwiches.The staff is exceptional. They had great recommendations, were very accommodating, and you can tell they have each others' backs. The locale is super cute with cool Cuban decor and old pictures of the staff. Definitely check it out!

The service is awesome they welcome you at the door and are attentive. The food is flavorful and delicious. the staff is so attentive. Everything was so delicious.

This place is so so good if you haven't been you must try. Cook everything to order. Coke products!!! Coffee con leche!!! Coffees,smoothies, empanadas,cuban sandwiches,chicken,steak give this place a try good eats, clean inside lots of seats and some outdoor seating. Latin music playing. Owners & staff are so sweet. Support local small business.

We consistently enjoy our meals at Mambos. They have delicious authentic Cuban dishes. The staff are friendly and helpful in ordering.

We stopped by for lunch Monday and it was our first trip here in a few years. The spot is casual, table service, decent food and service. My first issue is the booth they seated us in had the most worn seats I had seen ever and it was very uncomfortable as I had on shorts and my legs were scratched. Horrible. The waitress was very nice and quick to get our drinks and food. We started with the cheese bite appetizer and it was barely warm. I ordered black bean soup with rice and bread and the hubby had a Cuban sandwich with fries. The entrees were large and tasty. My soup was piping hot but hubby's sandwich and fries not so much. I had a sangria to drink and it was good. The really worn booth seats need to be addressed. I don't think I would go back until that is done.

The BEST, customer service. The best food, the best drinking water. The atmosphere is spectacular.

Service was good from our waitress. Upon entering an older lady asked how many? I said 4 she quickly then said stand over there please (the far right of the restaurant standing only), sort or cold. She could of said "welcome, please step aside". None of that, Food wasn't top notch. So far, since moving to St. Augustine my go to Cuban spot is Paladar. Here I ordered a Maracuya Juice it was frothy, the yellow rice was overly salty. The bistec con cebollas (steak with onions was bland no flavor. Food was was okay not wow! Bummed I really wanted to like it.

We had their paella to go and it was fantastic. The sausage, shrimp, seafood and rice all had lots of flavor and the plantains on the side were delicious.

El ambiente agradable, no hubo tiempo de espera, la comida muy buena y la atención de Antonio (our waiter) fue increíble, muy servicial y agradable lo q aporta en gran medida mi calificación de 5 estrellas al local
