Well we have eaten there twice and had takeout before with no problems at all. The food was good and well seasoned except for today. New chef? Slipping? What's up? Pad Woon Sen-the noodles were burnt and about a third of the dish was inedible. An order of Basil Leaves with chicken looked like a half order for $16! See the picture below. The container was approximately 6" in diameter and that's the way it came. Next time I get takeout at your place I'm going to have to check it out before leaving. One more chance....

This restaurant I believe, just opened last year. We arrived 5 minutes before they opened. There was a sign at the door and we thought they were closed! So it was actually a notice to inform the customers that they will no longer be serving sushi. Good thing we were not planning on ordering any of that.We started with appetizers, the Chive cake and Laab Peek Gai. Both were delicious! The Laab Peek Gai is a spicy chicken wings, not sweet compared to the Thai Zap Wings, they were crispy and perfectly seasoned! For the mains, can't go wrong with Shrimp Pad Thai and Chicken Red Curry! The depth of flavors were amazing! We got the medium spice and it was just the right kick! Only complain would be the portion, it was smaller than usual, especially the curry, there were very few chicken. But the sauce, wow! So good! Good thing we ordered appetizers or we would still be hungry LOL! Place is small but has a nice interior. Service was fast! We will be back!

I got Tofu Pad Thai, without bean sprouts . The portion was perfect, enough to fill you up and even have left overs depending how hungry you are. I love the texture of the noodles and the spice was the perfect level. The tofu was also crispy on the outside. I got it to go, and it was ready quickly.

I'm giving Mala Thai Sushi a 4.5 Stars respectively. They're still in their Soft Opening phase which spans August 1 - August 7. Their menu is pretty simple and here is what we ordered.- Spicy Octopus: Nicely done, nicely spiced. - Massaman Curry w/ Shrimp : Spice level, I opted for Spicy and hoped for the best. I'm glad I did. The Curry and Spice were well balanced, making the dish a pleasant one to eat. - Pad Thai w/ Chicken: It was pretty tasty. Nothing was underwhelming.- Spider Roll Sushi: I typically pay close attention to how well hydrated the Sushi Rice is when I eat Sushis. Theirs were pretty good.Last but not least, I'm giving a 5 Star props to our main server, Muay. She (as well as other server) were very attentive and pleasant to deal with. For a new restaurant in its opening phase, I felt like they have been open for many months now. I had a great experience here.It would have been 5 Stars easily but I felt like food portion wise, it didn't exactly meet the amount of food you paid for.But still, we enjoyed the food and service. We will be back.

The BEST sushi and Thai food in Jax! My husband and I have been twice and I'm still dreaming of the green curry!! The green curry is lush, vibrant, and absolutely delicious. The creamy basil flavor is to die for! The first time we went they did not have sushi as there was maintenance going on in their sushi fridge, so we had to come back to get some and it did not disappoint! I also had the Krapao Moo Krob and Kai Dao at the waitress' recommendation and it was great! You get rice, veggies, and crispy pork belly that made you want to ask for more! The restaurant is a quaint, tastefully decorated spot. The vibe is more intimate as they have probably about 8-10 tables inside. Definitely a cute spot for date night or catching up with a friend.
