Mai Xiang Garden Bakery

We tried a couple of items: a puff pastry egg tart ($2.50) and Japanese cheesecake ($4). We always like egg custard, but this tart was below average for an egg custard dish. The Japanese cheesecake (like a light, fluffy cake) was pleasant too, but we wouldn't get either of these items again. I consider this place a pretty good value for a bakery and I'll try things here again periodically. They've also opened a savory food stall nearby. We tasted a couple of samples there. We loved the pepper chicken and liked the rice cake (puto in the Philippines). I'd definitely like to try the food stall for a meal in the future.

Finally a legit Asian bakery in JAX! We tried an assortment of their sweet and savory buns. Their bbq pork bun is soft and filled with a good amount of meat. We were told that people by the pork buns by the tray so grab one early before they sell out! Their custard pineapple bun was also a standout and the filling was not too sweet. The egg tart's shell could have been better if the crust was crispier, but the custard itself had a nice texture. Overall, we were impressed with the quality and flavors and look forward to trying their other offerings in the future!

Very tasty sweets! Located inside the RD International Market on Beach Blvd. This is one of the newer stalls in the food area. I got a couple different things. The strawberry sandwich was very good. Not like a traditional I have had but more like a sponge cake for the bread with strawberry in the middle. I also got a custard roll which was lovely! Not too sweet at all which I appreciate. They also have a great selection of egg tarts, sponge cake, cookies and other sweets. The service was great and the items are well priced. I would definitely come back and try more items!

Wanted to do some grocery shopping at RD International Market, and was surprised to find this bakery in their food court. So many choices and I wanted to try them all! Ended up getting the taro puff, salted egg yolk puff, napoleon , wife cake (mochi filling) , and Japanese cheese cake . Everything was delicious! The staff was very friendly and explained the different kinds of pastries . Will have to come back and try the other items!

Shoutout to our local community heroes! Lovely venue! Very clean and well kept dining area. The chairs are comfortable and the tables provide good space for all the delicious eats. I was blessed to be able to arrive first thing in the morning and the bakery had racks full of fresh hot pork buns and other assorted goodies ! I felt like a kid in a candy store! I had my two favorites: bbq pork buns and sesame ball filled with red beans! I could not resist! I ordered three of each. One of each was for dine-in! I enjoyed the hot baked bbq savory pork buns in all its full glory! I know these items will warm up nicely at home, but I wanted to sit down and enjoy the freshness! The lady serving was so pleasant as she pointed out the fresh items on the racks. I was so impressed by the quality of these items. The display cases were so well presented. As I opened my sesame ball, I was so excited to see the fantastically satisfying mochi like stretch! The ball was generously filled. This was the epic chewy treat that I crave!!! The two items paired perfectly for a memorable breakfast. Yummmmy !!

Waiting for 1000 layer moon cakes in taro! Bakery items were fresh and service was patient and kind. Great stop to satisfy the "not too sweet" cravings. Display case are clean and bright making every piece of dessert more enticing! I do love that they don't over crowd the trays with their options since having too many options can be overwhelming.

Food, service and a wonderful display. I especially enjoyed the pineapple cream bun and the chocolate cake. Angela is a delightful employee.
