Food: 5 StarsService: 5 StarsA true hidden gem is M Brothers at Mayo Clinic. Yes, you read that correctly- at Mayo Clinic. Their menu has a focus on fresh seafood with an Asian and Mediterranean flair. I felt it was versatile enough to where there was something for everyone, even for the occasional picky diner.Their friendly staff, innovative dishes, and elegant ambiance has me thinking about this experience over and over again. Some notes on the dishes we ordered:-House Made Bread: We were offered fresh sourdough and focaccia with olive oil, balsamic, and Maldon sea salt whipped butter. Sourdough had a beautiful crusty exterior and the focaccia was luscious. -Fried Chicken Bao Buns: These are a meal in itself! 3 plump bao buns were filled with crispy fried chicken dressed in a Korean inspired gochujang sesame glaze and topped with an Asian slaw and spicy aioli. Loved the different textures and bright combination of flavors.- Chef Bites: A simple sampling, we found each bite to be fresh and full of flavor.- Salmon Nicoise: A solid take on nicoise, the salmon filet was juicy and tender while the accompaniments were savory and herbaceous. - Short Rib & Pappardelle: This had to be my favorite! The short rib was tender and savory and paired well with the pappardelle dressed in a cream sauce with shiitake mushrooms. -Miso Soy Tuna Poke Bowl: Loved the fresh toppings of cucumber, wakame, edamame, avocado and carrots. The rice was a little undercooked for my liking, but I still enjoyed the bright flavors of this bowl. (Rice isn't like pasta and should not be served al dente. The only exception is Risotto.)Be sure to review their cocktail selections and wine pairings, and don't skip out on any of their special.

Really good food in a surprising place! Met friends for late lunch after one had an appointment at this absolute little treasure I had the burger and wow! It was thick, juicy, flavorful and cooked exactly right (medium). I was blown away! I also really enjoyed the fries. I also sampled from someone else's plate the shrimp etouffee. It was a unique twist with a grit cake instead of the traditional rice, and it did not disappoint. The New Orleans native with us gave it a thumbs up too, which says a lot about its authenticity and flavor!The salads (a house salad and a Caesar salad) I sampled (again from other plates) were also fresh and well-prepared, a perfect complement to the meal. The only not great item was the baked potato soup. Almost seemed just like runny mashed potatoes. I hoped for a chunkier thicker soup. It was ok - just not my style. Additionally, the service was perfection. Our server truly anticipated a lot of our needs and all employees we interacted with were super accommodating for our situation (the main dining area was closed as it was late for lunch and early for dinner) and we needed to fit a wheelchair and larger party. I'd give the service 10 stars if I could. Whether you're at Mayo or just in the area, M Brothers is definitely worth a visit. Who knew hospital dining could be this good?

Are you visiting Jax to see a Mayo Clinic specialist? Or a local resident here for an expert in care? If you find yourself at Mayo Clinic but you don't want hospital cafeteria food, you are in luck! M Brothers has a fine dining restaurant open for lunch and dinner with lots of delightful choices (see menu pic). They are right here in the main hospital building! The setting has white table cloths and a quiet atmosphere, which may be just what you need depending on what brings you here today. It's a 'must try'. I had the pork belly bites - yum. And then I tried the vegetable pancit with shrimp. My shrimp was a little undercooked at first but they took care of it right away. Good flavor on the noodles. I ordered the buttermilk panna cotta for dessert. The panna cotta stole the show with its interesting presentation and flavor profile. Olive oil chantilly cream? Get out! I also heard the table next crave about the bread and the beet salad!Excellent service by Destiny, my server! Very polite and helpful!

Another trip around the sun for dad and we are lucky to find ourselves back for lunch at a lovely table inside M Bros at Mayo. We now hopefully have an annual tradition at least for a few more years as dad navigates complex advanced illness treatment at Mayo. How often do you feel so good about your family member's care that you decide to stick around and have lunch to celebrate a great outcome? How often do you get a chance to enjoy a phenomenal meal in a hospital of all places?New things to try include the Thai Tomato Soup and Shrimp Etouffee. Doug is a great server and he made dad's special day even brighter. Keep it up, bruv's. Your family is so appreciated by mine.

Once you know, you know. M Bothers at Mayo offers fine dining and terrific service. Weird to think you would find in a hospital but again and again they deliver. Food is outstanding, kitchen does not disappoint. All servers, especially Kaely, are professional and personable offering insight to the menu. Don't skip dessert! The bar does a wonderful martini and Manhattan.I'm always glad when there is live music giving a relaxing vibe to the meal.

Wonderful lunch today. Great atmosphere and a wonderful respite from the craziness of being at a hospital to have tests. Delicious food and wonderful service. Will be back soon.
