My visit here tonight was about as disappointing as it was the last time I came here about two or more years ago. Food was ok. I was able to eat all but the rellano. Too soggy. The sweet tea is good. The Young Waitress was nice. Pros-tostada was goodCons:food not up to par. Recommend: No

Food was okay. The server did the bare minimum and she didn't clean off other tables. Prices on the menu are unreadable. I would not return.

I'm not sure why this place is rated so high. I'm pretty sure it's the location. It's on a street that doesn't have any restaurants. Only a McDonald's and subway. Also, it's down the street from a college there are several apartment communities in the area within walking distance. The restaurant doesn't look clean, there was food on the floor and they desperately need to update. The server was super nice but service here is slow and it took the server forever to bring the food out. My fajitas came out cold because it was on a paper plate and not a hot plate. My husband on the other hand loved his meal.Fyi - The pico is spicy and they leave the tail on the shrimp.

I cant count how many times I drove by this place before actually going in to give it a try. Well, I decided to give it a try and now I have to question why I waited so long. The restaurant may be a little small, but the food is A1. The lady that took my order was extremely nice and helped me navigate their menu. One of my mexican friends suggested I try something called a "Chile Relleno" and boy was it good (pictured below). In addition to the chile relleno, I also got their veggie tacos. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it as a result of eating it so fast.

Small local joint which appears to be managed but a husband and wife team. We came for lunch on a Friday afternoon and the place was relatively empty when we arrived. Within 15 minutes, a large table of about 10 showed up as well as a couple of other patrons and all seemed to be regulars. The standard complimentary chips and salsa were nothing special and the salsa was thinner than I like - almost watery. I ordered a couple of fish tacos as well as a beef taco. I'm constantly in search of a good fried fish taco in Jax and I feel a beef taco is the standard test for a Mexican restaurant. The fish tacos were very good but the beef was ho-hum. It was a little odd that the fish tacos (which I asked for corn tortillas) came on a single tortilla as opposed to the customary double corn tortilla setup.Thank goodness we ordered and received our food before the large table arrived as they seemed to become quite overwhelmed all around after that time. We had to wait for our bill to the point of standing at the register as the only person working outside of the kitchen was tending to the large table. I would not drive out of my way to return but if I did find myself back here, fish tacos would be on my order for sure.

I wish I had taken pictures of our food but WE ATE IT TOO FAST! It was absolutely delicious! If you are searching for a 'hole-in-the-wall' place to get Mexican food with incredibly kind people making your food authentically - this is the place to go! I had taquitos and my friend had the enchilada platter - all of it was tremendous and I can't wait to go back! Just wonderful and great people making it for you. Can't recommend this enough!

I was having my car fixed next door when I walk out and saw the sign for tacos. So naturally I walk in. Hole in the wall is right. This place left little to be desired when I walked thru the doors. I was looking for a menu to see what they served, the place was empty expect for a couple sitting at a table another table had dirty dishes pile on it. I walk to the counter to see a menu and a woman came from the kitchen( open kitchen) and slid a menu over to me. All the prices on the menu were whited out which gave me pause about the whole place. Hard time reading the menu caused the white out cover some descriptions. And a look at the counter and kitchen I decided not to stay. Unfortunately to say, I go to many hole in wall Mexican restaurant's in Myrtle Beach and none of have the atmosphere as this one has. I know I'm leaving a review without even trying their food, but unfortunately I couldn't allow my stomach to be exposed to this place. Didn't want to take chance.
