Los Dos Potrillos II

We went today and got 1 chicken torta, 1 steak torta and 2 Mexican steak tacos. My husband wanted his chicken torta with beans, it just had chicken and tomatoes. I got the steak torta and it had refried beans , mayo , tomato and lettuce. According to the menu refried beans is not on the torta, just your choice of protein. I do not like refried beans, I feel like that's just a way to be skimpy with the meat! And their was barely any steak. The salsa for the tortas tasted store bought. Chicago Mexican places salsa is always charred tomatoes, garlic and onions and it makes a big difference. Also the torta bread needs to be grilled so that your not getting a soggy torta.

If you like real Mexican food this is the place the food was good I had the green enchiladas they are delicious the fried fish was amazing , the service was good and the hole in the wall restaurant is very clean and inviting.

It's a small little hole in the wall. Service is friendly and prompt. Variety in menu . They had beef head tacos we have been looking for and they were delicious . I can't wait to come back and try everything in the menu. SORRY I didn't get to take pics I was hungry...

Oh... my... god! Great food!!! Coming from where I eat Mexican food always, here in fl so far I hadn't found any that are good and authentic. Until now. The menu is fantastic I wanted to try tons of stuff but as a first time I had the fajitas combo and it was sooooo gooood. I will be back. My only Mexican food place I will go now!!!

It's unassuming but delicious. Great service and really authentic tacos. I like the traditional style onions, vita tri lime juice. That, plus a large corona familiar. Doesn't get much better.

The closest authentic street tacos thus far (recently moved from Kalifornia).

I'm only doing this cause we have a right to our opinion, she must be new hire but her customer service with her guest is disgusting, every time that I come in there , she always has an issue with something.I had placed a order probably less then 5 months ago and it was messed up and I had called to get it fixed which is was made perfect and very fulling when I did come back later that night , But she tried to argue with me that morning saying I never asked for what I was missing when I'm a regular and I love me some authentic food so I was just like okayyy. So I just brushed it off since then but today , it just seems like every time she sees it is me , she just has this hate towards me . I work in the food industry, I know what busy feels like and I know how stressed I can become , but something gotta change with how she greets her customers. Never was I rude or had an attitude with her , so I don't get what her problem is . Description of the lady is black hair and looks about 40 , or early 30'sOther ladies that work there are so sweet and kind , love going at night cause I rarely see her but this is becoming a habit with her .

I have been coming to this restaurant for 10 years. I've been here a couple dozen times. It used to be located down the street. I'll be honest I will probably never be back. The chips and salsa were so bland, the salsa was just tomato sauce. The chile relleno left a lot to be desired. The taco salad had no flavor. I gave three stars because the service was excellent though I would suggest that the employees dress a little more professionally. I'll give it a year and may try again. I'm hoping the owner reevaluates some things.

The service was great, the chips and salsa good to. The wife ordered chicken fajita and spent two days in the bathroom sick. The two burritos meals, filled with over cooked meat with rice and beans which was the exact same side items. Both only half eaten. One option for tip was 30% but customized to 15%. Very clean place but never will return.
