Tried the Lolly's grilled cheese and while it was good, I don't know if I'd get it again. The consistency of the tomato jelly was weird.

At urban food court today. Smells awesome. Ordered shishito peppers and dynamite roll with side of blazin sauce and extra wasabi. Customer service is super friendly. Wait is about 5 minutes on food, little longer for a deep fried roll, but no line to order at 11:30. Fyi you can get any of their sushi rolls deep fried for a small upcharge. Roll was super hot and fresh. The steamed shrimp inside was hot too. Should have had more crab, imo, had to deconstruct to find it. Peppers were delicious but pricey for the serving of a dozen or so but hey, am I going to make them myself,no. Buy again, yes. Shrimp sauce was good. Blazin sauce was peppery and tasty. For the price a very good value for sushi you can trust is fresh and delivered by food truck hot to the door of your work.

Good golly, Lolly's Food Trolley!I'm always down to support a new local food truck. When the opportunity finally presented itself a few weeks back at Hyperion Brewing Co, I seized the moment. Ultimately, I found my food to be pretty solid. I couldn't believe they were dishing Arancini from the truck, and to my surprise it was delicious! Creamy, tender, and the exterior had a nice crust. I've never met a tater tot I've never gotten along with. These were a great bar snack for me and my lady, although the sauces were just ok in my opinion. To top it all off, the owners were super friendly. They even delivered our food to us inside the brewery, on a rare cold night. You're probably saying to yourself, why the three stars? When I got home I was going over my receipts from the evening. I was shocked to find out that they overcharged me by $8. Not $1, but $8. That's completely insane, right?! My heart wants me to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was an honest mistake on their end.I'm a forgiving dude. As mentioned, I love supporting the local food truck community. I'm happy to see this truck didn't go to waste after Funkadelic left the country. Now I'm craving tots! Give Lolly a try, just make sure you're charged the correct price!

I have bought lunch from Lolly's several times and was very pleased with the food. I am not sure if they are still in business, as I have not seen them around lately. But, if I do see them, I most certainly would put on the brakes and buy lunch from them. Nice people, clean, good food and fair prices.

Another food truck lunch run! Checked out Jax Truckies on Facebook and saw a truck I'd never been to in the neighborhood so I had to check it out.It was lunchtime and by the time I got over there they were unusually not busy. What's wrong with these people? I know my building would love to have a food truck outside at least once a week. Anyway, I looked over the menu and decided why not try The Lolly, a grilled cheese sandwich but dressed up with chive cream cheese, smoked bacon, tomato-onion jam, cheddar and mozzarella cheese on multigrain bread. Wow, ok. The lady in the window was pleasant only for me to find out later that SHE is Lolly aka Laura, one of the owners. I may have waiting 5 minutes or so until the sammy was in a to-go box for me to take back to the office. She thanked me for stopping by. Back at the office I couldn't wait to get all up in the layers of goodness in my lunch and it did not disappoint. The cream cheese was a strange addition reading the menu but in tasting it with the other cheeses, bacon, and jam it works. That was one of the best grilled cheeses I've ever tasted and one I felt was pretty healthy. I should've gotten two but that's just another reason to return when they come around :)

I finally connected with the folks that bought the Funkadelic truck. If you get up close, you can still see the Funkadelic imprint underneath the new paint job. The new design looks clean and they did a good job repainting, but that prior design was fairly complex so I have to believe it took a few coats to cover.Lolly's offerings are similar with some grilled cheese options, a burger, and shrimp sliders. Lolly has added their own spin with Trolley dog sliders (bratwurst), street corn, and fritters (fried risotto balls). Today I ordered the dog sliders and after a short and reasonable wait, I was handed my food container. As I walked away, my initial impression was the container was light for $8.50. Regardless I kept an open mind as the description of the entree sounded like a good combination. The entree included a side order of their pasta salad and it was very good. A cheesy sauce (in a good way) with some chunks of ham and cheese made for a nice accompaniment for the brats sliders. The brats were good and served with grilled onions (I'm certain I tasted beer) as well as a mustard aioli which really added a nice punch to the brat. I would have liked to have had more sear on the brat though - turn up the heat and make me wait another minute - as I know it'll definitely be worth it. Also maybe consider heating those hawaiian rolls on the flat top too. Let's face it, Funkadelic left big shoes to fill but I think Lolly is on the right track. I'm interested in those fritters and will be on the lookout for their schedule.

Lolly's visited our apartment complex for food truck night so we wandered over on this beautiful Florida evening to check it out. Grilled cheese, quesadilla, and burgers, we tried them all! The burger was described as "memorable"--so good! The Lolly is a grilled cheese with creamy cream cheese, other cheeses, tomatoes and onions on a delicious seedy multigrain bread and it was amazing and delicious! The quesadilla was fresh and good as well, very messy to eat, but good!We tried the fritters as well, apparently we got the last order, and 1 of the 3 of us thought they were amazing, and the other 2 just thought they were ok. Risotto and cheese, deep fried, I mean really, what's not to love?!

Great food truck! The Trolley fitters were amazing, cooked perfectly and garlic aioli was delicious! The veggie quesadilla had great flavor. My son and husband had the burger, street corn and chicken bacon ranch quesadilla - they ate every last morsel. The service was perfect, fast but cooked to order and I was thanked by my first name, nice touch. I look forward to my next visit.

How do I even start?? The Lolly was so good. The bread was pressed with a nice and dark crispy sear on the outside. There are so many flavors happening at once in this sandwich it's hard to even describe it. Reading "tomato jelly" on the sandwich description made me a little uneasy, but wow was it good! The cream cheese gave it a nice element. I was very impressed with the quality of the bacon used in the sandwich. It was very thick and had a great flavor. The Arancini were so unbelievable. Creamy and steaming hot. I highly recommend them.To top it off my wait was less than 10 minutes even with 5 people in front of me. AND both items were in the same to-go box so I didn't have to juggle anything while trying to eat back to my office. Definitely my new favorite food truck in Jacksonville.
