Laredo

In town for the weekend we decided to go out to dinner one night. Being a small town, there weren't a lot of options that were open (maybe due to COVID). Laredo was just minutes away from us, open for dining in or takeout, and based on reviews we went in.Place was not busy, we got a table as soon as we walked in. They brought us water, the menu and their chips with salsa. They also brought a spicier salsa upon request.The menu has everything you expect from a Mexican restaurant: quesadillas, tacos, fajita, enchiladas... Something for everyone.We were going to order to go but when I saw they had queso fundido I had to order it and of course eat there as this is always best when immediately out of the oven. Well, that was disappointing and why I had to take away one star. The chorizo tasted and looked like it was from a can, and the queso, definitely not "real" cheese. We had to send it back, and thankfully our server was very gracious about it and took it off our check. Not only that, his friendly and attentive service did not change toward us. He kept checking up on us, recommended certain dishes and made sure drinks were to our liking and offering to change them if not. For dinner I got one of his recommendations, the shrimp fajitas and that was really good! Lots of roasted vegies, which I always love. On the side all the condiments: sour cream, lettuce, pico de gallo, chease and guace. Plus a side of delicious rice and refried beans. And, of course, warm tortillas. I was very happy with this and the portion. Enough I was full and shared with my boyfriend.He got the Burrito Frito with steak and the meat was cooked perfectly. Not dry or tough and good flavor. Good option in Lake Butler, with excellent service!

To say this place is a town favorite is no understatement. It's always packed, the food and sweet tea is delicious. Birthday parties are a regular occurrence here and the atmosphere is always welcoming, festive and fun. The facility and restrooms are always clean and the welcoming atmosphere makes your visit memorable.

I love me some Mexican food and Laredo delivered. It's not a fancy restaurant, and not deck'd out in Mexican flair, but it serves great food. This was our first visit as we traveled through town. FOOD- Highly Recommended: Burrito Frito was spot on delicious. I might order this every time if we lived nearby. It is crave-worthy. It is a burrito that is deep fried, but yet is different than a typical chimichanga (which is another menu item). It was filled with chicken (you can opt for steak) cheese and mushrooms, which was not a normal ingredient for Mexican burritos. I don't know how authentic it was, but it was super delicious! It's also not something you can find many places. - Carnitas Tacos were good too. It's hard for a Mexican restaurant to screw up such a classic but I have seen some that do. Laredo gets it right, with a generous portion on soft corn tortillas. - Kids Chicken Tenders were great. Like most kids, our daughter's go-to is chicken tenders. It's not a Mexican specialty but these were delicious, and would stand up to common fast food chicken tenders. They looked to have real meat grain, indicating they were not reconstructed chicken paste (thankfully). The breading was seasoned and delicious. - Rice and beans: the rice was good but we didn't care for the beans. They had a funk to them. DRINKS- The Coronarita was huge. I ordered it frozen, and it is served with an upside down miniature bottle of corona. It's a perfect Margarita for me. They made too much to fill the big glass so also delivered the leftover portion in a second small glass. They don't skimp! My only complaint would be the plastic margarita glass, but I am getting picky at that point.If you are looking for Mexican in this area, then I'd recommend Laredo.

I'm very happy to say we found a good food option in town.We were staying at a cabin in the country nearby for a weekend and wanted to "go into town" and have something for dinner one night.We had looked and couldn't find much, so figured to drive around and see what was open.Laredo Mexican didn't look like much from the outside but we decided to go with it.We got a booth right away and service right after. A nice fella helped us get a couple drinks and some suggestions on the menu. The drinks were solid. The appetizer, queso fundido, was not right. Good news they took it away right away. The chips and salsa were excellent though. I got the fried burrito and my gal got the shrimp fajitas. I wasn't enjoying my meal that much but hers was very good. Mostly it was nice to get out. The ambiance was nice actually. There was some Mexican Ranchera music playing and the staff was always at the ready.It wasn't amazing, but it was a great stop, and maybe the best spot in town righty now.

I really enjoy coming here to Laredo. Their salsa is amazing. I usually choose the burrito with the refried beans because it's so delicious. The staff is always kind and professional. The food comes out hot and amazing.

Really good food and service. Reasonable prices. Definitely would eat there again! Lots of menu choices!

Recently opened in my town this place is on point. Service is top of their game. Before you can even open the menu warm chips and salsa are brought to you. So Good. Staff is friendly, efficient and always polite. The restaurant itself is spacious so no bumping into other people while eating or squeezing into small spaces. Very clean and bright. Food is always hot, fresh in great portions. Now you may be asking why the rating of 4 when everything is so good. well, it's the heat factor. Though the food is AMAZING it is very spicy. I love Mexican food but wish there was an option for mild spice. Every time I get the salsa or queso for the family I am unable to eat it because it is way too spicy. Even my favorite dish of chips and cheese was way too spicy. In fact, I left with blisters in my mouth due to the heat factor. that is the only reason for the 4-star rating. They really need to have an option to get food with less spice for those who are unable to handle the heat. I do not enjoy blisters in my mouth due to the spicy food.

Recently opened. Other locations are busy. Good food good prices and more! Fajitas and Margaritas are always on our check. They have great lunch specials and daily dinner specials. They have a FULL BAR!! Good take out options also!!!Hit them up soon!!! NOT MANY OPTIONS IN LAKE BUTLER!!! This is one to support and keep around!!!

Great service amazing food friendly atmosphere clean yummy drinks and the best queso and quesadillas ever.

Amazing food! Burrito Laredo was great, California burrito too. Not too spicy full of flavor. It's a great place!
