Great little park. Lots of stuff to climb on, and they have a butterfly garden. No bathroom, but it's close to San Marco square so you can walk to the shops and restaurants. Tons of shade!

This is a cool Little Fork that would be great for kids. It has a great vibe to it as a perfect place to just chill for a bit with the family. This is not so much a destination Park, but I am sure it serves this community very well

Cute little park tucked away in the beautiful area of San Marco and surrounded by some beautiful houses. They have some swings, a big slide and separate playground area for the young kids and old. There is also enough open area for the kids to run around or to sit and have a picnic. Even with the now heavy traffic of San Marco Ave. There is a gate that surrounds the whole park. The door to gate has a latch to it, so it can lock once you close it. They have a water fountain if you get a little thirsty along with a couple of benches to sit down and relax and enjoy some of the views. I like the big tree that sits in the middle of the park. It's the kinda tree that makes a lot of shade and a tree you can sit under when it's raining. With two kids, I try and make it a mission to visit all the nearby parks. Jacksonville has done a great job at fixing them, upgrading them & keeping them pretty clean. This was another successful visit.

This is a cute little park, perfect for all ages. A small toddler playground and a larger playground are great for climbing. The down side is the only slide is located on the toddler playground, no slide for bigger kids. Nice, squeak free swings and a few different spinner toys you won't see at other parks. Lots and lots of shade!! And a nice field area perfect for playing football or having picnics

This Yelpie loves San Marco. I love this park so much. I lived in San Marco for over ten years. I used to come to the park to relax. Then, I got married and had two boys. I would always take them to this park, Museums, trails, parks and the Zoo. They loved this park as well. I remember them swinging on the swings. It's just so peaceful here. I like to still come here from time to time, and reminisce about the days when my sons were young. Now, they both are grown and gone, moved to Louisiana. I see my oldest son doing the same for his two children and it makes me smile and proud.

I have been coming here since high school. Our friends would all meet up here at night and walk around San Marco. I love that it is right on the river and you can see Downtown. At night its really pretty because you can see the lights of the city. Now I bring my son here to play and he loves it. The huge magnolia tree is beautiful and creates a lot of shade. I like that they have a toddler area and a separate playground for older kids. Also a good thing about this park is that it is never over crowded. I hate when you go to a park that is just over run with wild animals...i mean children. ;) I have never had any issues here. Its well maintained and this one of my favorite places to bring the kids to.

Great little park in San Marco. It's well-maintained and fenced in. It's the perfect place if you have little ones who are needing to run off some of that energy in the open air. Great little play area for the little ones. There's a huge tree here with lots of shade and perfect for climbing. Although, I don't necessarily recommend it unless you want a potential broken arm. My adult husband did enjoy climbing it though. LOLPlenty of benches around for you parents to rest while the kids play. Also perfect if you don't have kids and want to bring a book to read and enjoy the outdoors.I'd also like to point out there's a water fountain with nice cool water. So may parks don't have water fountains anymore. If I still had little ones, I'd definitely be coming to this park often. I do have a grandson due in the near future, so hopefully I'll be able to make some fond memories here with him. =)

Landon Park is a cute, small little park on the corner of Landon Ave. and San Marco Blvd. It is surrounded by a black wired fence and contains some great playground materials, including a few swing sets, a few jungle gyms, and a few other structures. It is also nicely landscaped, with some great large trees that make amazing climbing trees! The limbs reach low to the ground and you can always see middle schoolers hanging out on it's limbs. It is situated nicely next to the riverfront, or San Marco Beach as locals call it, and just down the street from San Marco Square.Very kid friendly, but don't think that just because you are an adult you can't enjoy a good swing... especially after a few drinks in the square. No better or more exhilarating way to cool off on a summer night than with the wind in your hair. Just maybe don't attempt the jump landing from your childhood. Larger bodies = jumping hazards.

This place no longer exists. Tried to take the family there. Were only seats for sitting by the water. No place for kids to play.
