As I was approaching Jacksonville, I reached out to my friend and suggested we meet up for drinks or coffee or even tacos. He suggested La Nopalera as it was close to I-95 as I'm heading north. They have a decent sized parking lot and at 12:00 on a Saturday, I had no problem fitting the Sprinter van into a good space.Inside, seated at a booth with a view of the door and then my chips and salsa arrived. A firm salsa and the chips were warm and salted nicely. Yay!Tacos for lunch, I chose the platter of street tacos with a variety of proteins. They arrived about 10 minutes later, hot and fresh and topped with the expected cilantro and chopped onions. The soft corn shells did collapse a bit as I ate them but the flavor was there and they were delicious.Friendly service as we spent a good two hours talking and drinking entirely too much Diet Coke this afternoon.[Review 20288 overall - 1790 in Florida - 1265 of 2023.]

Waited 10 minutes for someone to come attend are table no one showed up. Meanwhile a couple that walked in 5 minutes after us were quickly served and attended. Multiple servers saw us and said noting. I'm highly disappointed and feel disrespected. The sad part is , I went there before.

Been to this location several times since it's close by. Not impressed even remotely. The food has been rather poor on every visit. It's always slammed so maybe others are happy but I think there are smaller Mexican restaurants of much higher quality.

I arrived a few minutes early for my pick up order, so I wasn't surprised when it was not ready. However, there are iPads that show what orders they are preparing and which are ready. I saw my order move from the "preparing" stage to the "ready" stage. About 10 minutes later, I asked if someone could grab it for me, since several people were coming in and out, and was told that it would be ready in a little bit. Another 10 minutes went by and still nothing, so I asked someone else about my order- he was an older guy with a beard who was managing the to-go / pick up orders. He told me that I couldn't get my order because it obviously wasn't at the corner of the bar (where we were standing and also where they place the pick up orders I guess). I explained that it had been ready for 20 minutes according to their screen, but no one has brought it out yet. He stood there and told me to keep waiting until it came out. Another 15 minutes later, I asked again, because by then it was almost 40 minutes since my order was ready. He said that "it's not ready, we just put it to ready so that people don't walk away without paying." I explained that I already paid, since their online ordering system is UberEats. He argued that I did not, and I showed that I did. He told me that "it's not ready and you haven't been waiting for 20 minutes." I asked him to look at the iPad order history so that I can show that I paid, which he did. It showed that I had paid and that my order had been ready for over 20 minutes at that point. My order was brought out soon after that. I was really disappointed at the service and became annoyed because I was brushed off and then accused of lying. To top it all off, when I got home and opened up the order, the only thing they got correct was the side of chips and salsa.

Food was decent. I ordered a chicken street taco on corn tortilla. I received it on a flour tortilla. So make sure you check your order! Flavor was okay. But the BEST was the hot sauce that came with it... IT WAS HOT!!!! The tamale was al a acarte. The tamale itself was delicious! Corn was not dry at all!! What I was surprised by, because it wasn't on the menu, was it was swimming in refried beans, topped with red sauce, blanketed in a thick amount of cheese and drowned in hamburger meat! . Not for me since I don't eat hamburger meat & was wayyyyyy. Too much cheese for me, at all, but maybe it's for some people. I am old fashioned, tamale shouldn't be covered in anything!! Hubby had a chili relleno that he loved! Mostly because it was drowning, and I mean completely blanketed in a thick thick thick amount of cheese. He didn't eat it all. It was even too much cheese for him. He had the crunchy beef taco and said it was good. Rice and beans. Service was okay. Not much else to say. The decor of this place was great!!! It is an old train station and they kept all the architectural details inside. Stunning against the Mexican themes colors. Music was in the background and delightfully not a ok loud or too quiet! I will try this place again. You never know if a "meh" experience was just an off day or not!! You give it a try & let me know your experience!!

Average food. Average bar. Service was top notch. The chips and salsa was OK, I had the shrimp fajita salad, overall the shrimp was the star. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. Beers on draft are cold, bar selection looked normal. Service is on point here. If you are looking for a place to hang out with good service, this is it.

Stopped in to this trendy spot for a Mexican dinner. I really liked the Ambiance of the dining room. Our server was very accommodating and quick to get whatever we needed to enjoy our meals. The neighborhood where this restaurant is located is near the old train station so you have to disregard all of the parking warnings outside from being there over 2 hour. Other than that I enjoyed taking in a meal here and would try this place again if I were in the neighborhood. Fast service. Courteous servers. Clean restaurant. Also a full bar for those who want to drink and take in sports on tv.

I ordered takeout yesterday. I was so disappointed. I haven't had la nop in years. So when I decided to give them a try I guess my expectations were too high. The protein in the fajita nachos was under seasoned, I have very little chips and it didn't look so great. The chips, queso and salsa was the best part of my meal. It's unlikely that I'll give this place another shot.
