This location was the worst one out of the other ones. Service was mediocre at best. California Burrito with no French fries and "wet" with melted cheese on top is not a California burrito. Inside decor was nice

This particular La Nopalera Mexican Restaurant sits on the corner of Philips Highway (U.S. 1) and Baymeadows Road. This location sits in a shopping plaza, so parking is not really an issue. The inside has a cool overall experience. Our server was friendly and the food was good. The menu did not stray far from the usual fare offered at countless other Mexican restaurants, but the meal was overall a positive experience.

Came back for more tacos (and a margarita) and everything was just as amazing as the first time!I only got two tacos (lesson learned as I had to take my third to go last time) and it was the perfect amount! I ordered the Surf and Turf and the Mushroom-Pollo. I also ordered a house margarita and added peach flavoring. It was refreshing and not overly sweet. It was also a really good price for the size!Autumn was our server and she was SO sweet! She constantly checked on us and made sure we were enjoying everything. We came on a Thursday evening and there were a few patrons for happy hour, but it wasn't crowded by any means. It's definitely a great place to unwind. I really hope that other locals give this place a chance, because it is really good!

Came in yesterday for a late lunch. We were seated quickly and the place was freezing. But considering the heat outside, I get it. Our waitress showed up quickly and we ordered. Their Queso with Chorizo is a bowl of salty sticky goodness. What you would expect. Food came out quickly and the woman dropped the plates and bolted. The California Burrito I got was bland and I needed hot sauce and napkins. Waitress never came back around. So after about 5 minutes of watching my food get cold, my wife had to get up and go find Cholula and napkins herself. We got through the meal and weee done before the waitress came back around to refill our drinks. Whatever, it was what it was. I am not coming back. It's a shame because I have been going to various "Nops" around town for years. What I really have a problem with is, and what was not disclosed to us, was a sneaky little fee added to check just for using a credit card. I get it, but I feel that "disclosure" is very important in any business. So "carpe diem" folks. These folks are sneaky! It's not cool.

Everything I have had here is delicious! By far my favorite Mexican spot and if you are throwing a party this is a great option for catering for an incredibly reasonable price.

Despite the overall 3 star review that I see, I live this place! The frozen margaritas are the best I've had in town! I love that they allow pitchers to go. The food here is pretty tasty as well. The taquitos are a must! The salsa is a hit or miss but the margaritas are what keep us coming back! I know there are other locations but I have yet to try. If you happen to be on the southside and in the mood for some great margaritas and Mexican food. Give this place a try!

For being part of the LA Nopalera name, this place is rather bland and boring. If you are Latin, this place caters to the Gringo pallette. The tacos are good and reasonably priced. However, the queso and choriqueso is horrible. More creamy than spicy. The choriqueso had chorizo and some fatty meat that might have been Ham or bacon but was inedible. Both quesos were bland and boring. The chips tasted stale. Even when "hot" they obviously had been cooked hours or days before. If you have delicate dental work don't eat the chips. Overall a boring and bland experience. The decor was more exciting than the food. Which again is a shame given the LA Nopalera name here in town.

My wife and I are sitting in this restaurant right now, the table is dirty and the heat must be off; it's freezing in here. Food is always good, but wait for warmer days before coming here.
