This town has so many typical 3-star Mexican restaurant every couple of shopping centers. OK food. Pretty good service. Cute decorations and clean. More on the affordable side than frou-frou fancy. A perfectly good choice, considering the kids' preferences and taste in food. There are a couple of stand-outs in town. Better all around. But the prices and lines might keep us away, when we're really looking for quick and easy.So this is my local Mexican restaurant, where we've been going for years. Quick, easy, and convenient. The waiters always recognize us, they provide that extra bit of effort, and they sing for our kids' birthdays, Very typical menu and very standard quality food, like all the other 3-star joints. But that extra effort, for us, elevates them to a 4.

We haven't been into this location for well over a year. It's much better than it had been for awhile. The inside is improved, the service was prompt, polite, and accurate, and the food was actually pretty great. The shredded beef in the quesadilla rellena was not overly fatty but also not dry. Steak was good and the ground beef in the tacos (not pictured) was seasoned well. We'll have to put this place back in our rotation.

Service was great, the server was top notch, but food was just ok. In my opinion the meat could have been hotter and a little more seasoned. The decor provided a Mexican vibe. The prices have increased tremendously, which probably makes it in line with other similar restaurants, but I will go somewhere else that has slightly better food.

I love La Nopalera, but I know that not every location is the same. While I love the one at River City Marketplace, this location was very different. In comparison:- Fewer options (especially seafood)- Food quality- Service, while pleasant, was not as efficient- Cool and clean interior- Outside dining for ambianceThis is Mexican food and the dishes are plentiful, so if you are hungry don't be shy. But the food:Salsa - perfect consistency, good with a strong kickChips - seemed to be homemade, but nothing specialQueso - meh, nothing specialBurritto - big portion, covered in quesoCarne Asada - best dish of the night, really good glavorShrimp Fajita Nachos - shrimp were perfectly cooked, but the rest of the dish was just okay. Parking is sort of tight, so you may have a short walk. Servers were very nice and fun, just wish the food was better.

If you're going to La Nop you should know what you're getting -- not gourmet, not upscale, maybe not highly authentic (not purely Americanized either), but consistently good, reasonably priced Mexican food.Service is always fast and friendly, with bottomless chips & salsa. Not sure why the bad reviews.

We've been ordering out from this location since the San Jose location closed (our fav) and the food is decent but we finally went in for lunch today and midway through our meal a roach joined us on the napkin dispenser.. needless to say we won't be ordering from here anymore. I've worked in food service and I understand bugs can become a problem but the fact that they're out during the day showed us it must be a big problem.

This location now charges 3.99% for card transactions which is more than what card companies charge them. Just another cash grab on top of overpriced food. The $1.85 you squeezed out of me tonight will be the last penny you get from me.

Not sure what happened to this place but, we ate here for lunch. The chips were stale, the guacamole had little flavor. My chile relleno was cold but the plate was hot. Wife had a taco salad that was basically soup. The salsa was ok and my refried beens were good.

La nop is a family favorite! My girls and I eat it weekly. The staff is always so helpful and kind and we are always seated quickly. La nop is a favorite for a relaxed family meal out or even a fun date night.

Indifferent service, sorry for interrupting his day. We received the appetizer with no plates. We pulled napkins and used those. My son asked for small plates and the server brought one full size plate while the rest of us had literal food droppings on the napkins in front of us.Our lunch order took 38 minutes to come out of the kitchen, with the server never returning to our table to refill our chip bowl or beverages, or removing are dirty napkin-plates. The ground beef on the nachos was of a homogenized, consistent consistency, comparable to the texture of the ground beef at Taco Bell, but more watery. The spice profile is very bland. I grew up in the Midwest, and it reminded me of Minnesotan Mexican, so the taste was nostalgic for me. However, now that I have eaten Mexican food from all over the world, I am not impressed. The chips of the Chilaquiles were soggy before they hit the table. All food arrived lukewarm. My chimichanga might have been OK if it was beef like I ordered instead of chicken. My son also ordered steak but received shrimp instead. The server was defensive offered no apologies, stating I did order chicken, and he did order steak, instead of offering to correct the mistake. The restaurant was clean and I like the ambiance and decor. We left our meals mostly uneaten, paid the full check, and went to Wendy's and had a much better lunch.Ooh! Strawberry Frosty's are back!
