This was just HALF of the order! A $10 soup so big you need to share it!
This place knocks my socks off! Beef soup, chicken tacos and porkchops with plantains! All for $30!

La Colonia is a small market with a small restaurant in the back of the store. It is unassuming and honestly, the kind of place you would drive by a thousand times without even noticing it.Parking is somewhat limited, but again, it is a small place so the parking lot definitely is in proportion to the size of the business.La Colonia overall is a positive experience. Again, there is nothing fancy about this establishment, but I have found that this type of food is usually best represented by these humble little places. La Colonia is a decent place to head over for a good meal. As an overall rating, I will give it four stars for the whole experience. If you are looking for a more upscale place, this is probably not the place for you. However, if you want some good food at an okay price, come check out LA Colonia.

I think the food is a great deal depending on what you buy. You'd be disappointed in the value if you bought the pupusas or baleadas. The other plates are amazing: tacos de pollo and the weekend soup are sure to please. It tastes like real food and you see the cooks right there making the stuff from scratch. The tamales can be ordered during holidays. They are expensive, but these types (nonMexican) are hard to find and God knows I'd never put the time in to make them myself! This place is the Latin version of Soul Food, right down to it being stuffed in the back with the guys in the back watching a soccer match with their beers bought from the convenience store. $10 plates.

Giving it a four star, since it is located in the back of a mini market. My partner and I recently moved here from Las Vegas. Back in Vegas there's a lot of good hispanic food. Thankfully I was able to find this small restaurant that sells pupusas, which to me is actually Salvadorian food. This is about the only place that I know that sells them. I would recommend taking them to go, and I would only come here when I'm really craving them. They are expensive. I believe they're pricy because no one really eats Salvadorian food around here. So hopefully word gets out about this place and they expand. :)

This mini Honduran restaurant is located in the back of the convenience store. As with many Honduran places, I think the food is overpriced (compared to its Mexican counterparts). However, the service here is wonderful (contrary to the stereotype of other Honduran places), and the food is delicious. The owner is also very nice and the location is very safe.
