Solid Mexican place. LARGE MENU. Everything tasted fresh and on point! If you like hot salsa then try theirs. It's a roasted habanero flavor with a kick for sure. Service was fairly quick and the restaurant was clean and up to date.

Hubby and I decided to try La Catrina Cocina the weather was iffy and we wanted Mexican food with covered outdoor seating. This was our first time trying. We were greeted as we entered the restaurant and were seated immediately by Ana who also turned out to be our server. We ordered a pitcher of the house margaritas which was very good. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and a side of queso dip, the chicken quesadilla was tasty but was not cut through so cutting with a butter knife was a bit challenging as well as ripping the slices I tried to cut. My husband ordered the California burrito with steak. We are still trying to figure out why it was served with French fries. We live in Southern California and were never served French fries with any Mexican entrees. The seats to the table are not the most comfortable and they make you feel as if you have to sit correct and not relax as you should feel when you're out to eat after a long week of work. Just average nothing special besides covered outdoors seating.

We discovered this place on a Saturday drive through the area and are glad we did. It's a charming little restaurant we would've overlooked without all the positive Yelp reviews. I had the three-colored enchiladas, which referred to the cheese, red and green sauce on top. I could choose chicken or beef inside and got some of each. We ate indoors and appreciated the clear plastic hung between booths for health reasons. There's also a nice outdoor patio for when it's not too hot. Our waiter was attentive and the hot sauce and chips were good. We'll be stopping here again.

Food was pleasant but my burrito was served with cold chicken i sent back once to be reheated and still cold I notified some young guy and as he walked away with my plate he made sure to say something in response to me loud enough so the table behind us could hear "well it's served with lettuce so we can't heat it up because it will wilt " and I said " the meat is cold " ( was served with cold things inside so there was no saving it next time I know to order the cold stuff on the side so that's possible because I had to have that taken off the bill... which they did for me , thanks guys ! ) Food is over priced. But better than Fridas quality so I'll be back. Service was quick. And the atmosphere was nice. I felt bad for having to send the burrito back but me and my partner were able to split his meal.

The salsa is amazing. Outdoor seating is comfortable and has great and relaxing lighting to go with it. Louis is a great server and I will be coming back.

Blueberry margarita was fresh and delicious with plenty of fresh blueberries in the glass! The appetizer nachos were a meal in itself! Ground beef and shredded chicken with fresh toppings and sour cream and avocado! I'M STUFFED!

We recently found this little place and decided to give it a try. I am very picky with my Mexican food! Growing up in San Diego, I always had the best Mexican food available. This place was FANTASTIC! I ordered the pork tacos and my husband ordered the tamales. We loved our meals. The waitress was wonderful and sweet. The place was extremely clean as well. Definitely the best Mexican food I've had since moving to FL!
