Kyodai Sushi Rock

We went as a group of 10 to celebrate a 10th birthday, and ordered one kids meal, one sushi roll and mostly steak and shrimp combinations. Service was friendly, and the basics were basic and fine.But our sushi roll (ordered as an appetizer) didn't come out until halfway through our meal and it was more rice than anything else, to the point that all other flavors were covered by rice. Highly disappointing.The chef was fine, but didn't even comment on the child's birthday. Neither did the server, but did at least put a candle in the fried ice cream that I ordered (and paid for of course) that I asked for when she was starting to ask about the check.The check was to be split 3 ways and was done wrong, and I just paid the extra on mine instead of dealing with it. The bathrooms were filthy. We used to go here several times a year, and it really seems to have gone downhill.

I want to start by saying the sushi was ok and the food was pretty good but the main reason for my rating was the bathroom. My wife had went to the restroom and there was literally feces smeared on the wall. Dried up feces. She told a lady about it when she walked out of there and the lady shook her head ok and went about her business. Any place that lets their bathrooms get like that and when told doesn't go immediately to get it taken care of makes me wonder about what other things they feel is acceptable.

This place used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but sadly today's experience will probably cause me not to go back. It's my birthday and I decided to go here since I haven't been in a while. We had a party of 8. My son has never had hibachi before, and so I hyped him up telling him about the cooking show he can expect and he was so excited. How disappointing when the chef came out and did no entertainment at all. Didn't even say hello, and was mumbling under his breath the whole time. Very disappointing. Probably the worst hibachi chef I've ever encountered, and with 2 kids at the table you would think he would do a little something exciting for them to see. If he hates his job maybe he needs to find a new one. The place is filthy. We got there at noon and the bathrooms were already disgusting. Dust hanging from the ceiling, the floors were sticky, and dried up rice on one of our plates. The food was ok, but the cook didn't ask if anyone wanted any sauce refills before he packed up and walked off. Our waitress Wendy was very pleasant. I hate that she will have to split her tips with that cook. The rest of the experience was pretty bad. This place lost 8 customers today. Sad to see this place going downhill when it used to be so good.

Went here with my boyfriend and the lady was very nice serving us and we ordered. First, there was a hair in my sushi. When I told the server, instead of taking my whole plate she just told me to put the roll that had hair on it on a separate plate and she would redo it... EW! Second, the sushi did not taste fresh at all! It tasted as if the ingredients were old or something.. third, I was giving a wrong roll which was really expensive that I of course didn't order. The good thing was that the manager did give us 20% off and took off the roll I didn't order, very sweet man but I will not be returning.

Service was very good, ambiance with the large Hibachi tables reminded me of the popular Benihana restaurants of years ago. We elected to do the set dinner for two. The portions of the dish were plenty, but the food lacked any flavor or umami taste. The set included salad and a soup with a very little small taste of miso. This restaurant has to just pick up their game and add a little flavoring to make them a good Japanese steak/hibachi restaurant.

Sat at the bar during lunch and service was fantastic, the bartenders and servers were just happy and upbeat. This place has serious decor, so if you come for a date you should be pleased. I was there for a business lunch and it was good for a meeting. The food was good, not great, but like I said, the ambience and service were great. It was not that the sushi was bad, but there are just much better sushi places in the area. But what about the foodHawaiian Roll - this was tasty, really not what I expected. Dancing Eel - meh, it was okay. Crawfish Roll - another good roll. Alaska Roll - probably the best roll we sampled. Tuna Roll - okay, it was okay. Like I said, it is not that anything was bad, it was just not as good as other locations nearby. It is kind of like the difference in a steak from Golden Corral and Outback Steak House. Service at the bar really was great, she had us laughing and entertained. I wish I asked her for her name, I would have included it in my post.

Been coming here for a while and the food quality has gone down significantly. The service is pretty good, so the stars are really for that.. ordered a California roll for my son while waiting for the hibachi and it was slimey, and black. Not sure why they would plate that, look at it and then decide that it was okay to bring out., that means you don't care about what you are putting out to your customers. We sent it back and they didn't say sorry, can i fix you something different or anything. THEY KNEW IT WAS BAD. Which is why they didn't put up a fuss over it being sent back.After eating only a few bites of the hibachi my son and I got sick and had to spend the rest of the evening making trips to the bathroom. I would just drive further to another place unless you want flavorless, old food.

I usually have my birthday party here every year. However, we waited there for over an hour for my birthday party just for the manager to give up what was supposed to be our table to his friends that came in after us. They were unapologetic and had no sense of urgency for us. The manager claimed the party made reservations 3 months prior yet whenever we called they told us they don't take reservations. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else and I will never have my birthday party there again. Thanks for ruining a great night.

I give three stars because the service was good nothing to run home about, the sushi appetizers we ordered were good tasting. The hibachi chicken and steak the chef cooked amazing but their fried rice was bs. It was still crunchy and barely even edible. Other people at our table looked like they were enjoying it but deep down i know they tasted the hard pieces of rice. Took the rest of the steak and chicken leftovers home and made my own rice the next day. Sad to say, i probably won't come back considering ive seen other reviews about their rice as well i just assumed it was a bad night so i wanted to try it for myself. and i was disappointed.
