Overall great experience! Staff are super nice! The place was nice and clean. The food was really good! We got the Krab Rangoon and egg rolls, 9/10All white tuna 10/10 (super buttery and fresh)Smoked salmon 4/10 (texture was fine, the Smokey taste was so overpowering. ‍ I normally like it but idk) Eel 9/10Jaguar roll 7/10 (I liked it, but it felt like it needed a sauce. It had eel sauce on top but barely. It was fried so it needed more) Overall will come back again!

The place is just the right size - not too big, not too small - making it perfect for an intimate lunch with friends or family. We were greeted warmly and seated right away upon entering. Here's what we ordered:Chicken Hibachi: I really appreciated that noodles were included - a definite plus. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish!Chicken Teriyaki: Flavorful, though I would have liked a bit more char on the chicken for extra texture.Shrimp Cucumber Rolls: Fresh and delicious! The crunch of the cucumber pairs perfectly with the shrimp and mayo, creating a delightful combination.We'll definitely be back to support this wonderful family-owned business.

The lunch hibachi is a great deal for weekdays. I get my box to go with steak. But you can get chicken, salmon, or shrimp as well. It comes with all the regular hibachi components and is very filling!

Good food, service and ambience, after visiting St Augustine to see Christmas lights, we decided on our way north to dine out of the crowd, this place wad really good, and after eating there I understand way so many good reviews about this restaurant, small but they have all needed, good seating and good menu with a lot variety of sushi, Japanese and Chinese.

Can I give Kotobuki 10 stars? If I could... I would. Best sushi in Ponte Vedra, they never disappoint. Family owned, super friendly staff and extremely clean, love them!

We got sushi rolls for take out. The fish tasted fresh and it was very tasty. It was ready on time & the prices are reasonable. We'll go back for sure. They have dine in available as well. I ordered enough rolls for what I thought was for 2 people but they only gave us 2 packets of soy sauce & one set of chop sticks! If you do take out here check your bag for this before you go.

A Mom and Pop place that is a culinary force to be reckoned with.Lidako: A+, insanely delicious. Little whole baby octupus, cooked and doused in vinegar, ginger and sesame. Satisfyingly crunchy without being chewy. Just try it.Tuna tartare: A+, the quality of the tuna reminds of that in Hawaii. It's that good and delicious.Love boat for two: A+++++, I cannot begin to describe how outstanding the quality of the fish was. Absolute best in all of Jacksonville metr area. It came with a dragon which was sooo good I wanted to weep. I haven't had a proper dragon roll in a long time. Best rainbow roll I've had in more than a decade. Sashimi and sushi portions were generous and delicious. This was a whole experience unto itself.Thanks to the chef and his family for providing such an outstanding meal and service.

Drove 30 minutes tonight to try out sushi here based upon reviews on Yelp.Greeted by a sign on the door, stating that they are closed for summer. Maybe another time...

Kotobuki has ruined me for all other sushi places in the area. Their fish is always incredibly fresh, we only ever get raw sushi (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, toro) with the exception of an eel roll (I've heard good things about their hibachi). The customer service is incredible, Chef Kevin is phenomenal and the whole family is super nice. We've been coming for a while and enjoy sitting at the bar, Kevin always knows how much we appreciate the Toro too. It's not the fanciest restaurant in the area but if you want quality fresh food and good customer service, this is the place to go. Not only is the food amazing, the prices can't be beat. All the sushi in the picture range from 4-8 dollars per roll (22oz Sapporo for 6) Won't go to another sushi place! Keep it up!

Disappointing! The food was bland and overly expensive. Places like this are typically expensive but usually provide more for your dollar. One thing that bothered me was the inconsistency in pricing. For example, the shrimp hibachi was $20 and the filet hibachi was $25. This is fine. If you got the combination of the two, then it was $28, which is fine if you are getting more. However, you only get less than a half serving of shrimp and less then half of filet, but you are charged $3 more for the combination. Additionally, the hibachi does not come with soup and salad like most other places. It is a $1 more for soup or salad. Also, the sushi is very bland. The service was lacking. The server did not pay attention to the table and there were only three active tables. The got the order wrong and it took 5-8 mins to get them back to the table. The feel and comfort of the restaurant was nice. However, they had this weirdly awkward selling of items at the entrance. It was not like they were selling restaurant merchandise but random things. Overall, it is overly expensive with bland food and bad service. Given the number of other place in the area that serve better food at better prices and better service. I will not be going back.
