Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge

Last two times were great! I felt so welcomed each time I come inside, ladies are super friendly and helpful.Ice cream samples are available. Tried no sugar Apple Caramel, Georgian peach, pumpkin pie.And you may also grab coffee here!Always clean, pretty quite and cozy.Like the little kid posters to color.

Had a hankering for ice cream at 10am (ok, it was earlier than 10am, but to be fair, someone in my workout class mentioned ice cream, so I feel like wanting ice cream that early was justified). Me and my brother-in-law headed to Kilwins for ice cream. Ice cream is better when you have someone to justify wanting it so early in the morning. No one was there, so we really had the place to ourselves. Before I went straight to the ice cream counter, I decided to browse at the chocolates. Less than 1 minute looking at chocolate I buckled and ordered six of their milk chocolate coconut clusters.Next up was the ice cream. I opted to get a chocolate peanut butter sundae with hot fudge. Did I need the hot fudge? No. Did I want the hot fudge? Yes. When I dug into my sundae, the fudge had a bit of a weird consistency. It was more stringy and not super appetizing. It wasn't warm either.I've had hot fudge at other places, and typically the fudge is still warm and gooey (I know it'll firm up over time due to the chocolate hitting the cold ice cream, but would have loved having a more smooth texture and still being warm).Will I get a hot fudge sundae the next time? No. Will I get the peanut butter chocolate ice cream? Yes.

Kilwins opened recently in St.Johns. It's conveniently located in a strip of shops popping up near The Beachwalk community. Upon entering the place it looked so festive for Halloween. So naturally I was excited to try the pumpkin ice cream. Kilwins will give you a taste of whatever you like. I wasn't really a fan of the pumpkin but I did taste the coffee flavor & thought it was delicious. I had a sugar cone of it topped with chocolate sprinkles. I also purchased some cute Halloween themed chocolates for some family to go. Kilwins has an extensive showcase of every kind of chocolate you could want. They also have all types of fudge & several types of candy coated fresh apples. Kilwins is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Great location! Amazing store with a huge variety of sweets including ice cream! The staff are great! Drive thru window is perfect for a late night treat!

Not only is it nice to have a quality ice cream shop closer to home but the fact that there's a drive through?! Yes, please. Kilwin's has a good variety of flavors and a classic churned mouthfeel. My husband loves their waffle cones, especially because they're pressed at the bottom to reduce dropping. We used the drive through just to try it out and had great service. They had a sign up to speak loudly so people didn't struggle. We couldn't see inside very well but it was well lit.

I would have given only 1 star had it not been for the friendly service. I picked up fudge - it was just the worst! It tasted like it was made months ago. It was hard, stale, overly sweet, and just ick. Not to mention a total waste of money. I have been to other Kilwins and that was never the experience. Suffice to say, I won't be back.

The ice cream was amazing and they let us test taste and the employees were very helpful they had a lot of gift options also

This was my first time ever going in a Kilwins and I was extremely impressed. When first arriving in the store, I was a little bit, overwhelmed with the amount of products. They had both of ice cream and chocolate items, however, one associate named Megan helped with my decision process. I ended up getting a regular scoop of chocolate brownie with caramel on top and it was absolutely delicious. I hope every customer has the pleasure of meeting Megan and letting her give such wonderful service. Will definitely stop in again soon.
