Super great halal grocery store with a restaurant attached. This is great spot if you're middle eastern, like me, and need to get some pantry staples that Publix hasn't gotten around to carrying themselves. Or if you want some authentic middle eastern food; ie, gyros, shawarma, grapeleaves, etc. After a hard day of working on things, I realized I had yet to grab anything to eat. It as about 3:30pm at this point and I needed something quick, tasty, and filling. I called up K&Y and ordered a few gyros, some extra to bring home to my family. Their gyros are always super tasty and well seasoned. For a cool $6, you get sliced beef, sliced lamb, and veggies stuffed into pita bread all topped in the gyro sauce. The sandwich is stuffed to the brim and actually comes in two extremely big halves!I recommend coming here for a change of pace from the ordinary fast food. This version is much healthy. It's also a good spot to check out for ingredients for those new recipes that've been on the back burner for awhile out of fear. The staff is more than helpful with anything you might need@

Not an exaggeration--this place is not fancy, no hipster decor or clever signs, and you would not even know it sells sandwiches until you walk up to the menu and look at it posted on the wall. Despite its unassuming appearances, the gyro is anything but that! I ordered one gyro and there were two in my bag--I thought I got a freebie. Nope--that's the normal serving! Grab a gyro and share with a friend, or you have 2 meals. It is delicious. If you need any halal meats, they have those for you, too. While it is a grocery store, I would definitely come back to get sandwiches.

This store/restaurant combo is a great place to get some fresh baklava (the best I've had in town -- got 8 scrumptious pieces for only $7) and a wide selection of fresh meats, various types of couscous, special flavors (almond butter, for example), and other ingredients to create your own middle eastern masterpieces at home. As for a ready-to-eat bite, I got their chicken shawarma and gyro plate ($6.50) http://static.px.yelp.com/bphoto/cEL6JycrcJjRHycrG-gb7w/l. This dish included shawarma, seasoned chicken, pita, hummus, and salad. The shawarma they serve here is just top quality lean lamb and flavorful. The strips of chicken had a mildly spicy seasoning. The top strips of chicken were somewhat dry, but the ones in the middle were much more moist and tasty. The pita bread were soft warm pillows, but the fresh tasting hummus was overdosed with too much olive oil which was pooling on top. The salad was a simple ice berg lettuce and tomato salad with sliced olives and feta cheese. What disappointed me about the meal was the chicken and hummus. However, the rest of the meal was pretty good and a whole lot of meat was loaded into it. Always a plus! By the way, one could clearly see from the meats hanging and roasting in the back, that they make their food fresh. I washed my meal down with a Pakistani soda http://static.px.yelp.com/bphoto/yo-3LArbGOo3jDazFwozhg/l - Pakota, lychee flavored. Wow! I couldn't stop drinking it. Pretty good. My son ordered the gyro sandwich ($5.50), but being the picky lil man he is, he didn't finish it. K & Y Imports is in the same shopping plaza with Harbor Freight Tools at the corner of Southside Blvd. and Beach Blvd.

Nothing fancy but very honest people. I trust them and their halal meat over anyone else in the entire Jacksonville. I never felt comfortable buying from others but I get a peace of mind when I buy from here. Everything is halal and fairly priced! Amazing gyro! Generous portion. Def worth 45 Mins drive.

I've been coming here for lunch for years. Absohnaf is so friendly and helpful that it's easy to keep coming back. I always get a sandwich and an ayran. The food is delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the service is friendly. Be forewarned, the sandwiches can go quickly. Get here early to get fed and get a seat.
