It's about $30 for a round of 9 hole later in the evening. It's $8 for a small bucket of balls for the range. It's $4 for a tall boy. They charge 2.5% if you use your credit card. There is a bar girl that drives around but she stops before 3PM. We went to the bar for wine. I asked for a red but they were honest and said that people have complained about the red so i got white instead. They should update their red wine...I wish the signs were more clear as to where the next hole is. we got confused heading to hole 3. fun course, relaxing, as long as you are on time and the group after you isn't on your tail. Just be careful of cars crossing as the course takes you across neighborhood streets.

The course was in great shape. However, when we arrived at 1:45 for a 2:10 tee time, there were no carts available. There were 3 groups in front of us, so as the earlier golfers finished, the carts were taken in order of tee time. It was about 2:30 before we teed off. The weather was amazing and the course was good, so after the delay it was a great day.

Just played this weekend after the course was closed for renovations for @6 months..... Got to say, disappointed - here's the deal:Course itself: 4 stars - much needed improvements - a lot of trees and overgrowth removed, greens played fair and firm (will continue to improve with time) made the course a little easier (nice feature on JC - probably easier than any of the 210 courses....)Course amenities: 1 star - cracked sidewalks, bridges looked a little rough, no beer cart girl, saw one marker on the course all 18 holes, no "150 sticks" yardage not marked well at allClubhouse: 1 star - parking lot still a complete mess, check in area OK, but bathroom stunk and sink was broken (old faucet missing one of the handles) - seriously......in 6 months with no golfers....you guys couldn't have cleaned the place, modernized it and gave it a coat of paint? Lived here 6 years - that parking lot always looks like a construction site - couldn't get it re-blacktopped?To close - I don't hate JC - it is what it is....a munie with zero amenities in decent shape, go out, swing a club, and have fun....but I cancelled my 4 some with out of towners for this weekend to go to my least favorite of the 210 courses - just because it's a nicer atmosphere...

I've seen this course at it's best and also at it's worst. Originally the Champions Club for many years, then the last few years they've gone back and forth with JCGC, then Champions again, and now back to JFGC. Hopefully they have found a management company and stabilized. Today the greens looked fantastic but rolled slower than their appearance. The fairways were not in the best shape but the worst part of this course are the tee boxes. They are definitely due for an overhaul. JCGC is literally minutes from home which is a big positive. The layout is challenging with some decent par 5s and a good mix of par 3s. The one characteristic I will share about this course is that the front of many of greens are on an incline. If you land short with the hopes of bouncing onto the green, more often than not the ball can bounce or roll away from the green so be cognizant of those approach shots. The one consistent negative for this course are their rates. They have consistently been higher than most for the quality of the course. They've always been what I would deem a better than average track but their rates have always been in the high range for their caliber. Even their twilight rates are high with little daylight left to get in a round. I often find myself driving to other parts of town for equal or better conditions for less cost. This last round was a little more reasonable so hopefully that remains the case. If I were managing, I would rather have a full course at a reasonable rate versus a half empty course for a more expensive rate.

Came into Jax to visit family after Christmas. My brother and cousins have an annual tradition of playing golf during our visit. We have played myriad of courses across Jax over the decades, including the Champions Club at Julington Creek before it was bought by Brown Golf. With my cousin living in Julington Creek now, we scheduled this years golf outing at this course again. We teed off on time at 8:34. From the first hole to the last, we never had anyone in front of us. We have all been playing golf for over 20 years and are well aware of keeping pace. We had a great competitive round shooting 82, 86, and 87. We had the ranger come by once on the front and twice on the back (last time was 15th hole). We could all feel that we were slightly behind the pace. However, nothing was ever said when he came by. We also came in contact with the group behind us on the 9th and asked them if they wanted to play through. They responded their they were just fine. When we arrived to the 18th tee box, a different ranger pulled up and explained that we needed to "finish out" because we were "an hour over the pace"! We were surprised and asked if he meant 'pick our balls up'? He continued to explain that they were "out of carts" and needed us back now. After explaining that we teed off at 8:34, and that it was currently 1:05, we understood we were off pace, but not by an hour! We politely took the information and explained our intention to finish the hole. The ranger said that we would have to "answer to the manager" on that. We played the hole quickly. Then, as we were literally putting out, a woman walked on to the green with a dog on a leash. She yelled, "you are done"! She, "Sarah", said she needed the carts back and to not finish putting. Our LAST putt!!!! In 25 years of the game, I have never been told that we are fine on the 15th hole and then approached on the 18th green, by a manager with a dog, telling me not to finish my putt. COMPLETELY unprofessional and straight RUDE!We were all absolutely perplexed. After turning our carts in, we felt it necessary to seek further explanation and understanding for the treatment. As soon as we walked in the pro shop, Sarah explained that they were super busy and needed the carts back. When I attempted to ask for reasoning and the lack of communication, she immediately replied, "leave or I'm calling the police"!!!! The POLICE!!! We all looked at each other in absolute disbelief. We came in to seek an explanation. We're not argumentative or confrontational, and were threatened to have the police called on us! What the heck just happened here?!?! We simply left, vowing to share our experience as I am doing here. If our treatment was a reaction due to a stressed out poor manager (ran out of carts) during a busy holiday period, then that is unacceptable IMHO. Needless to say, our outing will not be returning to Julington.

More expensive than some of the surrounding courses. No signs, no maps, no arrows between holes or at tee boxes - had to use my phone map to navigate the course. Employees were nice. Would avoid, if you can.

Played this course about 3 times now it is a great course after the remodel. Affordable. The greens are a little fast but by the 3 hole I was adjusted. I will definitely be returning to improve my score.

Complete garbage management. You pay for 18 holes at 3:45 and at 7 o'clock they try telling us that we have 15 more minutes. Will never golf there again until things get changed. Very disappointed.
