JR's Wings & More

JR's Wings and More came to my neighborhood last Friday. I met the owner who was very friendly. John offered me a sample of the hot wing sauce prior to purchasing. It had a nice kick so I was sold. I watched him make the hot sauce when I arrived to place my order. So you know everything is fresh!I ordered 6 bone-in wings. The wings were cooked perfectly, crispy outside and juicy inside. And I really loved his spicy hot sauce used to toss the wings. But if you don't like heat don't order the hot wings. I suggest ordering a different wing flavor.I only ordered the hot wings as there were no healthy side options. And if you are in a hurry don't order here as it will take a hot minute. But you know the old saying, good things come to those who wait;)

I could wax poetic for hours about how good their food is, but I'll refrain and simply state this family knows how to do wings, fries, and burgers. Catch them when the truck is slow and you'll never meet a nicer host. If the line is long, know they'll get your food done right and not do any half measures. Sit back and enjoy your beverage as they work their magic. Their wing sauces rival the most flavorful varieties in the industry. Their loaded fries are a thing of beauty. Don't miss them if they bring the food close to you!

This particular food truck came to my apartment complex on a Friday! Walked up and placed a order, staff was friendly! Was told my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I stood in the rain for over an hour. Watched one person leave and abandon their food. A potential customer walked up, saw an upset customer, and left. Said upset customer, who voiced his frustration, was invited into the food truck. I had the pleasure of watching this stranger get a tour of the truck my food was being prepared in.I watched two orders be fulfilled from customers who came after I. I finally received my order after 73 minutes with a genuine apology from the staff. I felt empathetic for them and accepted it. I arrived home to discover the order they gave me was not what I ordered. Wrong flavors as well as bone-in. I ordered bone-out, chicken nuggets. The side of fries were crispy but chilled.Could have been so much better, I'm now depressed.

Best Boneless wings! Needed a good fix and JR's has it. If I run into them again I'll snatch me some more. If you see them stop in! Great food and awesome people!
